Instead of just copying the cart system from Team Fortress 2's Payload game, you need to copy the ENTIRE system of TF2's payload to make it both fun and challenging.
There is a reason that TF2 had payload balanced very well, because then it would be super unfair.
Here is what should have happened in labs when it first came out:
1. -Raiders spawn at the cart like they are suppose to!
2. -(OPTIONAL) If you wanted labs to be a required 10v10 type base, you could make the VOID have a longer spawn time like in TF2 so it's balanced
3. -The objective is bring the cart to the VOID spawn (already like this but unfair because rule 1 doesn't exist and raiders spawn way out somewhere else)
4. -Cart does not receive damage, there is a time limit on the server. When raiders reach check points, they can increase that server time.
5. -If the raiders do not get to check points and time runs out, VOID wins.
The problem that persists in the original labs weather VOID is using it or not is that raiders have to take a long journey to the Cart first. Then they have to bring it up to the VOID spawn but instead the cart takes damage instead of the Time limit system which just makes it very frustrating for anyone raiding.

@Zeero, Spawn times to the bomb STARTING point may be equal, but the spawn HEIGHT advantages are not and void's pathway to the bomb is over the tracks.
That point is not very valid, except for time starting distances. |

| No matter what, even with this system, people will find a way to complain. |

| Even if they complained, it would be to a minimum because of how fair and challenging it would be with this system. |

| @dark, I am talking about the cart spawn room. That is where raiders should spawn. |

Because SMO II was the easiest thing ever during VAK vs V O I D.
Half of you complain about "VOID HAS SPAWN ADVANTAGE AT LABS!!" when VAK had a HUGE spawn advantage at SMO II.
Not only did it respawn on official at a base where "the person to own the base wins the raid" wallshoot type base, but midpoint along with all subterminals were broken.
So VAK had a MAJOR spawn advantage while VAC = .5, server size was 22, and it was 5 for official. Please stop complaining. |

LeaderofCrossroads, this thread is a discussion about Labyrinth of Despair.
I know what you are trying to do, so no I won't let you turn this into another 8 page fight. |

| @Darkwisp, at this point anything making labs more fair would also be making it easier for raiders in the state of labs. |

I will debate with you on another thread to discuss SMO II, but not on this thread. You are open to make a new thread but here I am discussing Labyrinth of Despair.

"The cart does not receive damage"
This is the smartest idea I've heard so far for the ideas of making LABS fair.
Not being sarcastic. |
