People see the president as someone that the uneducated masses can take a giant crap all over if things don't go according to plan.

The executive branch representing a third of the government generally has the power to exert a great deal of control. So the president manages about a third of the government by effect.

They have a greater stake in the government then any other individual.

yep

unless the president does that " fill in " thing with the congress, making them all favorable to the presidents decision by getting congress people of the same political group, which Franklin did, which is why he was able to get us out of the great depression.

Anyone who took a civics class should know this, but blaming the President for every single problem and lack of action is the most ignorant thing you can do.

None of that guarantees change. A Congress that completely disagrees with the President means that President isn't going to get anything done.

@Seviro

Not sure if the added dialogue was an attack on a fact I stated, you'll find there was no opinion in the statement and it's factual. Regardless I don't agree a single president is to blame for the economic condition at the moment.

Poor choices were made that predated Clintons term as president.

And anyone nay-saying should take note that Republicans have been gaining an advantage in Congress - to the point where they recently took a full majority - against a Democratic President.
