SHIELD WALL- Form a line, shoulder to shoulder. The HR will often tell you where to form the wall, however if not, form the shield wall in front of the HR, facing foward. During a shield wall, weapons are out and if given, shields as well. Leave no space in between you and the man next to you.
WEDGE- Starting with the HR in the front, create a "pyramid" off that. The point of the wedge is the officer that called the order, then 2 soldiers line up behind him after that, 3 after that and so on. If there are an uneven number of soliders, the odd men out will stand behind the overall wedge where the spaces are.
SKIRMISHING- Create a line like the shield wall, however every other man takes a few steps back.
STS- Shoulder to shoulder. Leave a bit of space between you and the man next to you.
REFORM- Return to a shield wall. This will be said often during raids and defences to get the men back as a whole group.
FACE- 4 different faces. Always move the direction the officer calls. Just because an officer calls RIGHT FACE, doesn't mean you return to your origional right. ABOUT FACE is a full 180 degree from the direction you are facing.
FLANK- Right and left. When these are called, only one or two men split from the line and go far the direction called, then proceed forward and swing inwards to prevent enemies from escaping. |
