[Note]

This is a prequel to my first really successful RP
http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=133721996
It was posted over a year ago, and is still one of my favorites.
Well, with that said. Here you go. Land of Tharsis!

[Story]

There exist tales. Tales of a time long past. A time ages ago. A time where metal horses drove across where commonplace. Where a man could be killed with weapons not requiring arrows, or even powder. A time before the Yggdrasil tree. But, they are only that. Tales. Myths and stories with no real proof to them. Though, I’ve heard some tales go deeper. They say the world was collapsing upon itself. That the Yggdrasil tree was planted to stop this and that some people were sent from the past to the present. But that’s utter nonsense.

[Setting]

The land of Tharsis! A grand town with enough trading exports that it could buy the world twice over. The gods have been good to the town, especially in recent years. With the opening of more areas and dungeons full of precious resources, the call for adventures has never been greater. They arrive daily, adventurers I mean, seeking fame, fortune, and even simple resources. They’re put in adventuring parties, and sent on their way. At first adventurers are only allowed to explore the first area, the Windy Plains, but upon clearing they’re first trial, they may proceed.

[Tharsis]

Tharsis is, as stated, a prosperous mercantile town where many an adventurer comes to seek fame and fortune.
The first stop for new adventurers is the Explorers Guild. Here, you can talk to the guild master about starting your own adventuring party to head out and explore Tharsis.
Next up, adventurers should head to the Berund Atelier. It’s an all-purpose shop where adventurers may buy weapons, amour, items, and use the smithy to improve their existing equipment. The store owner, Wynne, uses materials found in the plains and dungeons of Tharsis to make better equipment, so always pay her a visit if you come across a new material.
A final stop before heading out is the Dancing Peacock. A bar near the town entrance. Here you can stop and get yourself a drink, and accept quests left by those willing to pay.
At some point adventurers should also stop by the Cargo Wharf. This place is run by the mechanic by the name Ciaran. He builds and outfits sky ships. New parties get a free sky ship of their own, but repairs upgrades and new ships after will cost you. New parties should stop by a get their ship as soon as possible.
Now, where is an adventurer to go after a long day of adventuring? The Saehrimnir Inn of course. Here you can rest up for a night or two, and eat some good food. The entire place is run by Dalla, the resident “expert chef”.
On your in, you might have notice an ornate old building near the entrance. That, my friend, is the Mark Grand Court. Here the leaders of Tharsis meet to discuss matters relating to the dungeons, adventurers, and the town itself.

[The dungeons]

Rather than large spiraling floors and stratums held within the confines of a centuries old tree, your adventure will take you through the plains surrounding Tharsis. Of course, dungeons reside within these plains for you to explore, but much of your traveling will be done outside the dungeons.
Area I: Windy Plains. “Gusts frolic over the wilderness”. An area every explorer in Tharsis sees at least once in their lives. Windy Plains is a lush flatland full to bursting with every supply you could need. It’s considered the starting place for all would-be adventurers. Windy Plains is comprised of four small dungeons, if one could even call them that, and one large one.
Lush Woodlands: “The dry forest outset”. The largest and most difficult of the dungeons in the windy plains. This place will be your final challenge as a new adventurer.
Old Forest Mine: “Wings slumbering in the forest”. This is a training ground for new adventurers. Before you can even begin your adventure across the many areas near Tharsis, you’ll be sent here to see if you’re up to snuff.
Small Orchard:” Dance with fawns in the sunbeams”. Renowned for its abundance of fruits, and docile wild life, many adventurers come here to relax when not in town, or off exploring.
Valley Spring: “Prancing beasts and unseen paths”. Not much is here aside from a gorgeous fresh water spring. The area is filled with monsters, however, so the trek to see the spring may not be worth it.
Dense Bushland: “Beastly claws shred the shadows“. A dungeon riddled with monsters of all kinds, the Dense Bushland is not a place many will brave exploring.

Area II: Scarlet Pillars. “A height beyond even the birds“. Scarlet pillars is an area high in the sky. It’s famed for its landscape’s scarlet tint a deadly giant crocodiles. Be careful of going to high here, as the great Thunder God might seek to punish you for attempting to reach his height. Scarlet pillars is the first place were a sky ship will be needed as the locations of major dungeons are far too high for anyone to reach themselves. Just make sure to be careful of the giant crocodiles. They’re capable of snatching ships from the sky with a single jump.
Misty Ravine: “Forgotten song of yearning“. Misty ravine is the second major dungeon, or labyrinth, adventures tackle. As its name suggest, it is very misty. Paths can easily become distorted, resulting in adventures going in circles or even ending up in places far away from their goal. Misty ravine is also inhabited by a large colony of Arcanists, who call the mist their home.
Moth’s Garden: “Battle cries draw woeful attention“. Moth’s garden is a cave infested with giant moths. They’re generally found sleeping, but unless you tread carefully you could wake them all up.
Noisy Marsh: “The waterside where frogs sing“. A thick marshland infested with giant frogs. While generally peaceful, these frogs will attack anything that enters their territory.
Miasma Forest: “Unseen malice strikes from behind“. Miasma forest is place few dare to go. Why? Two giant beasts prowl the forest, their scent poisoning the air around them. The air itself is poisoned, causing any adventurer who enters to become gravely ill should they breathe it. Only one question should be asked before entering the forest; “How long can you hold your breath?”

Area III: Sacred Mountains: “ Frigid peaks, blizzards, and the taste of adventure! “ Northward, ho! The Sacred mountains are about as far north as you can get. The area boasts ice cold peaks, below zero temperatures, and an abundance of hot springs. A vacation destination for many weary adventurers, the Sacred Mountains aren’t without dangers. Icy blizzards can be the end of any unwary adventurer, while the threat of an encounter with the Ice god looms for anyone traveling by air ship.
Cramped Nest: “Rocks claw at uncertain wanderers“. This cave is home to a large nest of bats. While not dangerous on their own, these bats can take down even the strongest adventurer in large groups.
Golden Lair: “Blazing scales bar the way. Ice Shards open thy path“. The main labyrinth of the Sacred Mountains, this area is not to be taken lightly. Littered around the labyrinth are scales from a giant fire lizard. These scales are hot enough to melt anything that gets near them. They can be cooled, and even destroyed by ice, but an encounter with the lizard itself will not be so easily conquered. On top of that, this area houses the great sentinels, a race of half animal half humans with incredible strength and fighting prowess.
Underground lake: “The double edged sword of progress. “ At one point this cave was filled with ice. Word began to spread of certain incredibly rare resources deep within the cave, trapped by the ice. A group of Runemasters were hired to melt the ice and retrieve said resources. A simple job made complicated by the fact that many monsters had been frozen in the ice. Suffice to say, those runmasters died. Many adventurers were sent in to kill the monsters, and many died to do so. Eventually, the cave was cleared, and the resources were gotten. Now? Well, now, the place is home to a grand hot spring.
Toxic Cave: “Unclean caves despoiled by chaos“. Another cave inhabited by poisonous creatures. Luckily, the musk of these creatures isn’t nearly as potent. They do, however, spit an acidic substance that melts most objects. Except, that is, a rare kind of wood found only in this cave. Cork wood. It is resistant to this acid, and many other kinds of hazardous toxins. It is highly sought after for both medical and scientific research, and people would pay good money for it.

Area IV: Cloudy Stronghold: “A kingdom of collapsed ideals“. A once great empire that now lies in ruins. In times long past, this place, the Cloudy Stronghold, was the capital of a grand Empire. However, in their desire for rapid expansion and influence, the rulers of this grand empire brought about their own demise. Their kingdom was spread to wide, and their soldiers to wide. Invaders marched on empire, and it came crashing down. This is what remains of the grand Empire. An age old ruin, kept hidden away by an impassible mountain range. In recent years, however, a small group of adventurers came across a scared black flame that revealed a path through to the ruin. Infested with powerful mountains and with much of the region unexplored, this Stronghold will prove a challenge for even the most veteran of adventurers.
Echoing Library: “Puppets dance in the dark“. The most intact part of the ruin we’ve come across, the Echoing Library is a labyrinth of bookshelves. Many secret passages have been found throughout this library, some leading to other parts of the library, some leading to other parts of the ruin.
Forgotten Capital: “A demons dream of paradise“. A nauseating musk of death and decay was the first welcome received upon unsealing the grand doorway into this old hall. It’s been theorized that the last of imperial higher achy locked themselves inside this old building and sealed the door shut with powerful magic, eventually starving themselves. The smell of rot had not escaped from this place for many hundreds of years.
South Sanctuary: “A spark enkindling faint hope“. A secret passage within the library led to this small sanctuary. Many have reporting hearing strange noises, seeing shadows where there is nothing, and having furniture move on its own, leading to the rumor that the sanctuary is haunted.
Windy Archive: “Fierce winds stroke a fiercer flame“. Another area discovered through a secret passage in the library. Fierce winds blow through this room for reason unknown.
Golden deer Keep: “Golden horns bar the forbidden gate“. A keep near the edge of ruins. A grand old door lies in the main hall, but a giant golden deer patrols this place, killing any and all who come near the door.
Hall of Darkness: “Morgue of distorted sagacity“. Evidence supports that beyond the doors in the Golden Deer Keep lies a long hallway leading into the mountain side. It was most likely an escape route used to evacuate the people during invasions. Some theories suggest that this escape route was overrun during the final invasion, resulting in it now being a tomb.

[Rules]

I’m putting the rules here, so people aren’t will actually have to read instead of skimming to the rules, finding the secret code, and not actually reading anything.
1) Basic RP rules apply: No godmodding, no meta gaming, etc, etc. If you have to ask yourself if it’s one of those things, it most likely is.
2) I am the GM, my say goes: If I appoint admins, their say goes as well. The only exception to this will be if an admin go against my say, or is straight up abusive. Either way, listen to me, and listen to admins unless directed otherwise.
3) Don’t try to bullsh.it me: I will be reading all submitted CSs, free of bias. Don’t expect to be able to get in with a generic Gary Stu hidden behind a word wall. And, I’ll re-state this; CSs will be reviewed bias free. If I don’t accept your character, it’s because it’s garbage, not because I hate you.
4) Keep it world friendly: This RP is medieval fantasy. It has specific races, classes, weapons, and equipment. I’ll link here, and at the end of this RP, the Etrian Odyssey 4 wiki. http://etrian.wikia.com/wiki/Etrian_Odyssey_IV Look it over at least a little bit, specifically on weapons and items and the like. I will expect you to have some knowledge before starting this. If I catch anything too far outside of the basic classes, races, etc, I will decline you.
5) Other: In the other section of your CS, put at least one of the quotes added beside the dungeons or areas, i.e “A kingdom of collapsed ideals”. (Don’t use that one) Quotes have quotation marks next to them, so they should be easy to spot.
6) Have fun: This rule is mandatory. If I catch you not having fun, I will come to your house and kill you while you sleep.

[Classes]

Landsknechts, front line physical attackers. Lansknechts are hardy front line physical strikers who specialize in swords and rapiers. Their armor isn’t bulky or defensive, but they make for this lack of defense with incredible strength.

Nightseeker, an assassin capable of hitting hard from the front or the back: Nightseekers are, as stated, assassins. They specialize in swords and throwing knives. Nightseekers coat their knives with different kinds of toxins, allowing them to poison, paralyze, or even put enemies to sleep. When they’ve weakened their target, they are able to draw two light swords and go in for the kill. Nightseekers wear very light leather clothing and amour, giving them fairly poor defense.

Fortress, heavy defenders who work best when covering other, weaker allies. Fortresses a defenders capable of wielding large maces and hammers. They hit hard, but aren’t too fast, due to all the heavy armor they wear. Fortresses have immense defensive capabilities thanks to their capability with shields and heavy armor.

Sniper, a bow user who does well when striking from a distance. Snipers are generally seen in the back lines, taking out running and weakened enemies. With pin point accuracy, snipers are able to hit the limbs of enemies, there-by crippling them. When need be, snipers can also use daggers and knives to get some quick damage in.

Medic, capable healers who stay to the back. Medic is rather self-explanatory. They heal wounded allies. Medics don’t excel in combat, but are capable of using swords and different types of poison.

Runemaster, users of the arcane arts who generally stick to the back. Rune master are able to wield the three basic elemental powers of the three great gods, thunder, and, and fire. Some skilled rune masters are even capable of using light as a weapon. Run masters excel in elemental damage, but are abhorrent in any kind of front line combat. They can burn, electrocute, and freeze foes, and are also capable of defending against the elemental attacks of enemies.

Dancers, supportive allies who can draw attention or invigorate allies. Dancer are supportive allies, using their performance skills to bolster allies combat abilities, or draw enemy’s attention. They rarely wear armor, but make up for poor defense with great speed.

Arcanist, capable casters who specialize in weakening foes. Arcanists are an odd little race of pale wood folk. Their skin tone can be anything from white to grey. Their combat abilities come in the form of curses. Arcanists can use curses to weaken and disorient foes in battle. You can’t use much weaponry aside from staves, but arcanists aren’t front line combatants anyway.

Sentinals/Bushi, proud beasts capable of doing major damage. Sentinels, or bushi, as many humans call them, are a race of beast people who value strength above all else. Male bushi tend to be bears, lion, bulls, and other such things, while female bushi are generally wolves, rabbits, foxs, and other such things. Bushi are very heavy attackers, capable of wielding large maces and swords. Due to how front line based they are, bushis are generally the most frequent patient of medics.

[Character Sheet]

You are not required to use this sheet. You may create a simple character paragraph or anything else really, so long as you provide needed information such as you name, appearance, class, etc, etc.
The “Other” section is always required, as you need to use put the code there.

Hey Lego! (I am actually JonaArcher, from when Roblox wouldn't let me on the forums...)
Lets do this again!

Name: Tomas Vagraci
Age: 25
Appearance:
Medium height and with a slender build made bigger by his puffy outfit of colors. Tomas is actually roughed up, and not a real pleasant face with his crooked nose, scar running right by his left eye and a uneven blond beard with a ragged hair style. But, in his unusually bright, visible and overall stunning outfit of greens, oranges and cyans he could very well be described as a 'ugly peacock'... His hat and feather oddly enough both are blue with trims of silver.
(I know, but he is eccentric, so here is what his cloths are based off of)
http://rejdie.deviantart.com/art/Landsknecht-16th-century-398876200

Class: Landsknechts

Weaponry:
[Main] A bastard sword, for either one-handed or two-handed fighting. It's grip is a purple color of cloth.
[Secondary] A simple dagger. The grip is also covered with purple cloth.

Equipment/items:
[Stale loaf of bread] One of those things, that no one ever sees him eat it... Yet it always gets smaller each time you see it.
[Pouch of water?] Mysteriously, it doesn't seem to be water...
[Coin Purse] Filled by selling tips, adventuring and selling gear from the dead.

Personality:
[Friendly] Understatement.
[Oblivious] He doesn't understand 'personal space', 'awkward situations' and the like.
[Helpful] Even if you don't need it.
[Talkative] He will talk, and if you don't want to talk, he will talk to himself!
[Overestimation] Assumes he is at the disadvantage... And fights anyways.

Backstory: Tomas Vagraci, a extremely colorful and perhaps a bit too friendly man with no idea on personal space or even a hint of decency hailing from Tharis itself. Born in a family of tailors, he always loved the many colors that he worked with. So, when he finally decided to go out adventuring on his own, he picked an outfit that is always recognizable. Now, he is a staple around the Explorers Guild giving tips and suggestions to the new adventurers.
Other: “A demons dream of paradise“

Declined
Your appearance is somewhat lack-luster, and doesn't even include clothing.
You didn't read the rules, or not all of them at least

(Other: The double edged sword of progress.)

Continued appearance: He wears the usual assassin attire. The tight brown jeans, the top, the overcoat and of course the hood to sheild your identity. The color pattern is one which you would normally see in a military base, green mixed with brown. He wears pointy shoes, not too pointy as he is not an elf. He has a stubble and also has a diamond ring on his left hand, this was gave to him buy his mother when she was lying on her death bed.

Question: is the class only the overview of what your character is and can your weapon be different from the ones mentioned in the class desc?

@Riddler

What do you mean by "work with them"?
Do you like, work with them throughout the RP
Or do you mean like they start out as an apprentice or a helper?

@kit
Classes generally stick to using weapons that the class is know to use, but that doesn't mean their can't be exceptions. Just make sure you explain how they were trained to use said weapons.

@kit, continued

Classes basically explain how your character functions in combat, with others, and against monsters. So, yes, it gives a basic over-view of your characters abilities, but also gives insights into personality.

Yes, so long as you explain how and why they're doing so.
And most of the RP is going to take place outside of Tharsis, so if you choose to work with them your character probably wont get much screen time, or much interaction with other characters.
