so recently my dreams have ceased to be the safe haven they once were at one point they were my escape from my depression, now i just dip my feet into sleep for the bare minimum i need my dreams have ranged from my sister going missing to recurring nightmares about travels (i hate traveling homie) now one i had last night was a detailed dream about an offshore oil spill a news crew was asking the unrealistically wounded victims about the incident and many of them were covered head to toe in crude oil all i know that could have caused this was the skinny puppy song, "shore lined poison" do your dreams get influenced by music or any other media around you? |

i watched the boondocks a while ago and this is probably the root of the dream but
last night i dreamed abraham lincoln was making a speech during the civil war about how all civil servants are expendable (he apparently could see the future and knew he would get shot) but over the dream he morphed into mlk jr. this speech moved congress so much that they changed the system entirely
now there are only 3 congressmembers and they are locked in a room where nobody can enter or leave and they must debate eternally. later they escaped using singleuse rocket launchers. we have to track them down to save america |

i periodically have dreams involving musicians from bands i listen to, but i can't recall any specific details from any of them.
once, in the fourth grade, i fell asleep listening to a Warriors audio book and had a dream about the characters, which were inexplicably animated instead of looking like real cats, getting into an argument. |

For some reason, last night I had a dream that I was a high rank in one of the Roblox war groups and during a training, I stabbed each person with a spoon and dissolved them to make a serum that turned me into a green dalmatian chimera. And then Roy Mustang appeared in the corner.
Yeah, this is what happens when you watch FMA whilst playing Roblox.

During my days of middle school, Thrash Metal bands had me hyped to buy a guitar, practice it, and shred in two days as if it was possible. I eventually did get a guitar, (Red and black Fender Stratocaster), and I had practiced for a hard two months with literally no knowledge from day one other than the main chords and bar chords. I eventually decided to put it down, stop practicing the introduction to Raining Blood and Tornado of Souls, and not bring it out of the closet unless somebody made me bring it out, or I just got bored.

i was probably listening to giles corey or something when i had this dream
ok so i was walking around town with my friends when suddenly this pool of nuclear waste or something appears in the middle of the street. my friend is an idiot and falls in. i try to pull him out and i succeed, but i get some of the stuff on me.
we go home and somehow come to a wikipedia page for a disease called "mono" (i think i had something similar to the actual mono a bit before that and that's why it was called that). we also somehow know that touching the nuclear waste causes the disease??? dream logic idk
the wiki page was just a pic of a white spider and the words "If you get mono, you will die in your sleep."
so now my friend and i were slowly dying from a disease that would kill you in your sleep. basically we got super loaded on caffeine and started trying to stay up for as long as possible. my friend passed out and died, and after he did i spent what felt like hours contemplating what death really meant, and all the things i would never be able to do, all the opportunities i would miss, all the people i would never be able to say goodbye to, etc.
it was probably the worst nightmare i've ever had |
