| I'm more interested in playing games rather than watch people compete in the games. |

Cat, I agree with you for the most part, sometimes watching can be very interesting.
For example in dota there's a series called purge casts a pub, he basically watches a really really low skill game, it's hilarious because it's so unpredictable. But it's not for everyone. |

| Yeah but why watch videos of people playing The Sims 3 when I can play the game myself. |

| Yeah, watching gameplay only really works for competitive games or games with a massive emphasis on random generation. Or something like d&d which isn't a video game so it doesn't count. |

tbh
watching people play D&D or other P&P RPG's isn't all that fun, imo
more fun to play yourself

But p&p rpgs are unique in that every single campaign will be different.
Plus a few good personalities and it's a good show just in production value.
Rollplay does it right, everybody is a streamer or understands streaming so they have good equipment and know how to talk with an audience watching, plus the dm's are pretty good. Mostly I just love swansong because it hits my sc-fi love perfectly. |

i prefer streamers who play singleplayer / co-op public games, they're fun to watch
ex.: admiral_bahroo, cirno_tv, diabetech, dtphase, elegyofgames, oldvulpine, recursiveblaze, thefuncannon, etc. |
