So I have not been here since last sunday (EST) until today (saturday at EST) because I've been at a Church Youth Retreat.
Needless to say, my eyes have been really opened this week, based on themes that were being studied (identity, diversity in Gods creation, partiality, etc), and it took this week to realize just how judgmental I am as a person; how often I judge people who think differently than me, and act differently, which is wrong. In a camp full of nearly 600 people, there were at least a handful of times where I'd look at a person and how they were acting, and think to myself "They are so stupid!" or "What the heck is wrong with them!" but I was convicted this week, based on what I've studied, that that is wrong for me to do.
I also took baby steps out of my comfort zone, by forcing myself to talk more to people outside my youth group, and to just do simple things like that to make myself relax a little more. Inadvertently, I learned that using humor effectively is one of the best ways to hold conversations with girls, which is something I've been rather "meh" in.
The change I've seen in myself is priceless. |

I also learned more about accepting my personality and looks, because the speaker was talking a lot about the diversity in Gods creations.
I mean, I'm a nice looking guy based on what others have said, but I am critical of the way I look. I also hated my introverted nature, but I learned to find strengths in my personality. |

And you're foolish enough to think that I write things based on what people care about. |

That has nothing to do with what I replied to you though.
I never write threads entirely based upon how many people will care, or not care. I write about things that interest me, so too bad if you're not interested. |

Talking about (literally) five days of my life is definitely not a life story.

So its wrong for me to talk about learning to accept people who are different from me?
I mean, I can't push my faith on someone who is pushing against it, because they cancel each other out, but this thread is really about what I've learned this week, more than my faith itself.

@tazer
Well, why do you hate going to church?
Please don't take this question as me trying to put you into a corner and say "Convert!" but I am genuinely curious about why you hate it. I mean, before I was a Christian I hated it because I thought it was boring. |

| Pretty much because,it's boring watching one guy preach about god for like 2 hours,and standing up on your feet is really annoying sometimes.But the main reason is it bores me. |
