I'm so confused right now. Read about it, it's unfair as HELL. I mean I thought that it was a joke and it isn't "The great copyright act" is probably going to be the tea part act part two.

So... You can now use a picture without getting sued by butthurt "artists" who spent a day on MS Paint? I'm ok with this |

| In a nutshell I think what it's saying is that if you don't say "hey this is mine btw" and register it then anyone can use it. By default it'll be public domain unless you do something to make it legally yours. |

@cricket tl;dr: if you draw and upload it to anything (YES that includes im gur, pr nt scrn, all websites) you need a stupid permit that costs hell of a lot of work

@MC I upload my artwork to dA (deviantart) daily like i said, I'm not going to have people stealing my work because I need to get some type of permit. I read so much about this and it's not going to be good. imagine having yourself work 6 hours on an art piece someone now can steal it because "its the publics domain" I mean I'll still draw but that's unfair for people who work as artists. They are stressed enough tbh

@super A watermark wont help. Anybody can steal art now without anyone giving a damn. If you have the permit though, you wont get art stolen from you. Because for some reason my doodles have to "legally be mine" I am going to college for art and engineering, and if I can't get paid because of a permit thats a hell load of a problem.

That doesn't matter. If someone uses your art don't get all worked up about it. Now if it goes viral, then yea..
