So the JAGC Reform passed a few weeks back, and it came with a surprise: The US Code is officially ratified.
As such, there are a few new things to keep in mind with USA (this is hardly a comprehensive list, the US Code is enormous):
• Statute of Limitations The Statute of Limitations is a provision of the US Code stating that crimes "expire" after a while. For example, you cannot be tried for most non-capital crimes after 5 years in real life. Following our ratio of conversion, you cannot be prosecuted for a crime that happened 7.5 months ago. For certain terrorism-related charges, the limit is 12 months.
Keep in mind that certain restrictions apply, so you may occasionally be charged after the statute of limitations if certain other requirements are met.
• Copyrights and Patents To be discussed later. :)
• Public Contracts Become a contractor with the government maybe? :)
• Judicial Conference No more abusive Chief Justices. :) (No offense suffer but your predecessors left a bad track record lol.)
• A Huge List of Crimes The less-fun thing, now we have Title 18 to go by.
• Banks Banks are like actually provided by law now!
• Veteran's Benefits Let's be real, the Department of Veterans' Affairs has done a terrible job. Now you have benefits guaranteed by law.
• Labor Laws Abusive bosses can't give you outrageous assignments now!
• Actual Guidelines for Government Departments #Title5
Comments left open to talk about your favorite new things!

Huge news for you... not for the citizens of USA.
Nothing important in this forum, besides the Statute of Limitations, which should be further explained. |
