RIP You can't stop the tracks we're like cars on a cable And life's like an hourglass glued to the table And no one can find the rewind button, now, just cradle your head in your hands Oh, breathe Just, breathe, Oh, breathe, Just, breathe |

I remember when my grandpa died. It was during one of my trips to japan. We cut the trip short and came right back. He was the best.

Alzheimer's is horrible. If it offers you any comfort, she likely had no clue about anything around her or anyone around her. She passed as peacefully as can be in that situation. |

My grandpas death is unknown. He died while my grandma was at work. The thing that also makes it even sadder is, he was going to take my brother and I fishing when we got back from our trip. We never got to go ;-;

I send you my most sincere condolences. Losing a family member can be really rough.
I lost an aunt last year and I often forget she's gone. In my case I was glad to see her go though. She had been suffering for a really long time and now she know longer has to suffer.
I'm sorry, kid. I hope you can find some sort of relief soon. |

@segar
Try being me. I only have one surviving grandparent.
@OP
My grandma had Alzheimer's when she died.
She took a horrible fall and basically cut her head open. She was sent to the hospital and got stitches, but still died just a few days after that.
I wish I was making that story up about her death, but I'm not. It's the most horrible way I hae ever seen anyone IRL go. It's been over 6 months and I still cant believe she is gone.

I'll be honest, OP. I'm a little jealous of how OT is treating you.
When my grandma died, several OTers got on here and treated me like dirt over it, so what could have been a simple page or two of grieving turned into a 10 page flame war that was eventually locked (but not until after March, as one user had the nerve to lock it and bump it for my humiliation).
