I want to make a sword, but I want to make the blade black with a neon white glow
I already tried placing black decals on it, keeping the blade white, but the decals block the neon white from shining, and placing an exact white copy inside a black model also blocks the white neon from glowing, I'm out of idea, help?
tl;dr i need a black sword with white glow help |

| When you say 'glow', are you referring to dynamic lighting? |

| Ahh, I think that's all to do with the graphic quality, is it not? |

no, i am pretty sure the the material is a different subset to how brick functions
so i want to make the brick black with a white glow
normally since material is applied to a brick, that material takes upon the color of the brick, in this case, since the brick is black, it produces a black glow
i want a black brick and a white glow |

| The last time I heard of a problem like this, or similar I think, he/she had to change the quality in Studio to level 21, I believe. |

Just turn off collision and merge the neon white glow with the black blade but keep the neon a little bit off the black blade so you dont have the glitch
Im a special type of stupid |

| Have you tried making the Black Blade partly Transparent, with the Neon White Part slightly smaller inside it? The White Part being solid would hide the see-through effect. |

| The transparency works, but it blocks out the black of the blade |

What values have you tried with Transparency? 0 is solid. 1 is Transparent. I'd try .1 first, then experiment with other values. |

I tried 0.1 and it blocked out the black
I tried hundreds, tens but the darker I make it, it blocks more neon white light, and the more transparent I make it, it blocks out the black, and I cannot find an equilibrium
