don't be afraid of a tulpa, it isn't actually conscious, only has the illusion of sentience. frango, what is your definition of a tulpa?

it's what floraltigress (a tulpa who posts on OT) described it as she and millsbuddy share a body, and basically millsbuddy made her one day and she's existed for a year now or more she is a conscious being with her own thoughts, according to herself and mills, so millsbuddy's brain has two minds, mills' mind and floral's mind they can communicate by sharing their thoughts; they can listen to each other's thoughts mills does not voluntarily hallucinate any visions or otherwise of her, but instead he visualizes her (gives her a sort of look by visualizing it) if there were any voluntary hallucinations here, it would be the voices in his head that he believes to be floral |

i believe i've read floral's story. my tulpa can do everything floral can do. they are fully imposed on reality, he can possess me, inflict or stop pain, etc. really, the only difference is that my tulpa and me both admit he isn't conscious. whether it appears as though or not, tulpas are not conscious and meditation on a concept cannot change that.

well if that's true then tulpamancy isn't real because tulpae are described as being separate conscious beings with their own thoughts |

it's called self-induced schizophrenia if your mind legitimately creates a non-existent being and thinks for itself then that means your mental health is not at all in good shape |

it isn't about mental health if the only side effect is the tulpa talking to you. i can utilize logic the same way as i did before, i eat, i don't have any mental disorder, etc.
tulpas aren't scary, sorry

i don't think you understand what schizophrenia actually is it includes paranoia a lot and it gives the patient negative feelings like being scared and being depressed and also a mental illness is any sort of condition in the brain that impedes on your life and/or yourself, but afaik, tulpamancy isn't really hurting anyone in this way |
