Doesn't it make it ironic when they accuse children of just going by their parents political beliefs?
Last I heard God isn't president nor does he possess citizenship.
Heck there's a song called "Jesus take the wheel" and he can't even drive, they didn't even have the wheel back then.
All I'm saying is believe in what you wish but don't it let it make decisions for you. |

| Ignorant Conservatives feel the need to bring "god" in to politics when really America has no "primary religion" it's honestly pointless when we have freedom of religion it should not be brought up because all it does is create arguments. |

I'm fairly sure most if not all western states supposedly have a secular style of politics.
The state is supposedly separated from the church yet the church is always brought up in the state. |

"Also separation of church and state is a thing, so it's technically illegal."
> Yes, but the matter of the marriage legalization, it was legal in some states before, but not all? It's a basic right, they should've been able to get married in the first place. Another similar example would be Loving v. Virginia, (two different colors getting married), it's almost unconstitutional, but it's because of majority religious beliefs some states have. |

I just wish the state was truly separate from the church in all states not just Christian, religion is your personal choice and should not be brought up when it effects someone who wants nothing to do with it.

| When I say state I mean both US States due to them being mini countries of their own and countries globally. |

| @OP, I agree 100%, but there will always be people who bring religion in to politics, it's the sad truth... Government will always be corrupted by "god" |

America has no "primary religion" insofar as it won't condescend a particular view onto people and favor one view at a disadvantage of the other. It is free speech when a governor or politician says something about god. If we are to argue about what America's religion is, as it has inspired our codes and laws and our greatest leaders, then christianity will be the absolute epitome of most of our core values, and can be attributed to the characters of great men in our history.
Many might say that it is merely a myth that our founding fathers (in particular) were christians; first, I find this view in general to be murky and unsure of itself when presented with contrary evidence, but even if many of them were Deists, they still evidently read and held the Bible highly in view, enough to declare it wise in instruction; again, christianity has always been held favorably in America's eyes, and it has reciprocated a prosperous nation. Until recently, where plenty of groups of thought tear people apart with no dexterous leader to vanquish doubt and restore patriotism (reasonable patriotism, that is; not simply complements and hogwash). |
