I'm not a huge follower of basketball as I've stated but what went down today is absolutely dispicable.
GROWN MEN went about a decision like two kids fighting over a pack of crayons on the playground in elementary school.
DeAndre Jordan verbally committed to a long-term contract with the Mavericks and the Mavericks, Cuban, and everyone else believed him on that.
But because of the stupid NBA moratorium period, he had the time to change his mind.
And he did.
It was handled awfully. This isn't about the money for me or where he went. It's how it went down. As a fan of the DFW area teams and even as a casual Mavericks fan, I feel immensely disrespected.
DeAndre wouldn't accept calls, texts, or anything from the Mavericks, Cuban, or EVEN HIS OWN AGENT? ARE YOU FLIPPIN' 12 DEANDRE? GOOD GOD.
Then the Clippers wouldn't leave his house until he got the deal signed?
Way to play us like a fiddle, DeAndre. You just lost a ton of respect in not just Dallas, but hopefully around the NBA. You deserved to be booed on every court you step on this season and especially when you step on the court, if you so dare, against the Mavericks.
I shouldn't have to be ranting about this because this shouldn't have even happened. But sadly, I am.
How the whole situation was handled today is downright wrong and childish and should never, ever happen in professional sports with grown men.
Absolutely childish.

| If he didn't want to sign with the Mavericks he should have just said that straight up. |

I could care less if he signed with the Mavericks or not.
The whole way the situation was handled is what gets me fired up.
Sure, he can go change his mind. Just don't handle it the way it was handled today.
He could have at least have had the courtesey to respond to Cuban or whoever contacted him and tell them he changed his mind. |

Tato it isn't that he changed his mind.
He committed, waited to the very last second, then went back on his word after all the backup plans were gone |

he knew what the mavs were offering, reconsidered the clippers offer, and then went back to LA. that's called changing your mind |

| Yes but he had a full week or so to make a decision. He had multiple meetings. He rushed his decision and totally screwed the Mavs in the process |
