Your brain is still 'active'/'alive' for a few seconds/minutes after you die.

@Skelecore, that won't make a damn difference to your body if it's brain is disconnected.
and ti answer your question, I believe it's muscle memory. |

| Certain things like worms and Jellyfish have a different central nervous system layout than humans, as in there's no "brain" in the head to control everything. |

Why don't you research it instead of asking us, OP?
What the hell, you did seem dumb when I met you at the recruitment plaza, I don't care.

I'm not dumb. Just because I don't act in a mature manner to please you doesn't mean you should have the audacity to presume that I'm not intelligent. |

Muscles and related start to spaz when the head is separated or disconnected from the body. That is why for example fish appears to be alive even when dead, and that is because their muscles retract and expand for a short while.

| I do have the audacity to question your intelligence because you ask a question like this, when there is a wide range of sources on the internet in which you could seek your answers elsewhere. |

It's the nervous system acting up after the main controls got cut off from the rest of the body.
However, you can continue seeing and experiencing life 10 seconds after your head got cut off. (Or so people say)

Despecto, what stops him from asking here anyway? He asked a legitimate question in a place he found fit and got answers. Stop being such a stiff idiot and ignorant. |

| I'm ignorant by promoting the proces of discovering knowledge? Please, Arc get a better insult. If this were an actual forum bent on the basis of scientific and medical discussion, than maybe you would have a point. But you don't. |

"that won't make a damn difference to your body if it's brain is disconnected."
Your brain communicates with your spinal cord which in turn controls movements, your brain still has some sort of connection to said spinal cord for a few seconds after it's been disconnected from the body, scientists are researching why it happens but have not got very far but that's pretty much the gist of where they are going, it's the same as to why a turtle still swims with it's head is cut off.

| DrFlush, there was once a notion along the lines of, "Who is more stupid, the stupid person or, the one following the stupid person?" You are a prime example of this theory, so please, think for yourself instead of duplicating the nonsense in which Arc has to offer. |

| I care if this forum is not on topic. I would like OP to seek knowledge in a more suitable atmosphere, not some lego forum. Sure, some well-rounded responses were given but this truly isn't the place. |
