Note: It is your responsibility as a member of the league to read over the rules. If you choose not to, that's not my problem, but obviously the smarter thing to do would just take the time to read over the thread to save yourself from a lot of arguing during the season. Also, this rulebook will not be the final rulebook at the start of the season. I will make a new thread called "NCAAH S1 Final Rulebook" Regardless if its the same rulebook as this one. ------------------------------- 1. Rosters and Subbing ------------------------------- -Each team should have no less than 6 players at the start of the regular season. -Season 1's roster limit is set at 16 players. -You may have subs if you do not have enough rostered players to begin the game. -For a game to begin, theyre must be a player and a goaltender on each team. -Illegal subbing is strictly prohibited. To avoid forfeits and other consequences, inform the referee as well as the other team that a player on your team is a sub. -You may have no more than 2 subs playing for your team at one time. -You may not have a player from another team in the league sub for your team under any circumstances. -If a player must leave the game early, you will be given a 2-3min time frame to get a sub. After this time is up, you must talk with the other team to decide if you forfeit or if you would like to pickup the game where it left of on a different date. Both teams must agree on a decision. -If you did not find a sub in the 2-3min time frame, you also have the option of starting the game off from with a new beginning on a different date. This is known as the "Clean Slate" Rule. ------------------------------- 2. Gameplay ------------------------------- -All league games must be played at ToxicGladiator's NCAA Iceplex -Each team must have a player and a goaltender to begin a game. If each/either team does not have enough players to begin with, the game will be postponed for a later date or time. -We play 3 ten minute periods with intermission between each period. -If a referee does not show up to the game, the game will be postponed for a later time or date. Under no circumstances shall anybody who is not an official referee officiate a league game. -If an official is not present at scheduled puck drop, a linesman may officiate the game. -If after 3 periods of regulation play a winner has not been decided, there will be a 5min overtime period where the first team to score a goal will be the victor. -If after the overtime period, a winner still has not been decided, a 3-man shootout will be played. -Before the game begins, each team's owner must be given admin. If the owner is not present, admin shall be given to a captain. If a captain is not present, admin shall be given to an alternate captain. If an alt captain is not present, a team-chosen representative of the team shall be given admin. -We will play a preseason tournament before the regular season. And have a 18 game regular season in which each team plays each other 3 times. -Each team is given one timeout per game. -If a team does not agree with of an official's call, they may choose to "challenge." Only if a team still has a timeout left and they have not wrongfully challenged a call in the same game they may challenge the call. Teams may only challenge on goal, offside, and icing calls. If a team challenges a call, and it is overturned, the team may keep their timeout and they may challenge another call later in the game. If the call stands, the challenging team loses their timeout and challenge privileges. ------------------------------ 3.
