Hello! I'm Tom, and I am looking for developers. To be more specific, programmers.
Myself, I am a builder, and can work my way about graphic design well, too. Unfortunately, I lack the ability to script games. But you probably assumed that. Why else would I be here?
Anyway, this is my idea.
Often times you will see groups which are specifically intended for a private or more exclusive game and 'roleplay', as it were. For example, the Game of Thrones fandom has created a system which is completely isolated from every other aspect of ROBLOX, whether it be mainstream roleplaying or clans.
My intention is to create a similar sort of system, but intended for a World War II theme.
"Dear lord, not another World War II group!"
Hear me out. The current WWII genre is entirely flawed, whether its because of who spearheads it, or the lack of innovation.
If you're an avid clan-goer, you may have heard of a project months back, known as 'Battle Network'. If not, I shall explain. Battle Network was an organized and intricate system which utilized ROBLOX's 'universe' feature to create a regulated, fun, and fair environment where war clans could battle over 'tiles'. Tiles were plots/places where battles were fought. Clans would go to these places and fight for control over the place. The winner would receive ownership of the tile and it would be recorded in a hub. Tiles could be taken and controlled by groups, and others could see who owns which tiles, and could choose which to 'invade' in an attempt to retrieve ownership of it. Groups would rally at the hub, pick a tile, go there, and fight for control of it.
I'd like to create a similar masterpiece, but with a World War II theme. Instead of tiles, there would be world locations. For example, Bastogne, Carentan, Paris, Stalingrad. Either faction would deploy to these locations and fight for control over them. The winner would then control that specific location until their opponent were to take it back by assaulting it.
Moreover, some places would not be able to be taken unless another was taken prior to it. For example, the Allies would not be able to take Iwo Jima without first taking Saipan. This would make the experience more historically accurate and logical.
Combat would be FPS-oriented, likely, unless a third person aspect were to be of interest.
If all were to go well, vehicles, such as tanks, and weapons would vary and would provide the best and one of the most realistic combat experiences on ROBLOX.
This project is, at this moment, simply a concept, and will not become reality unless a proper and capable development team is assembled and willing to put forth the effort into this project, as it could become something much larger than most groups like this are today.

| People need to realize that they're going to make new friends with the game development. Honestly I would have joined this if i didn't have any projects. With game developer friends I've learned so much, my friend just helped me fix a glitch that I would have never though of fixing. I would advise anyone who really wants to do this to just disregard the pay and think about the long-term benefits :) |

It is beneficial to everyone involved. With an idea this solid, and if its done right (which I am confident it will be if I find the proper people), it will become big.
A couple of friends and I constructed a fort last year for a clan. I personally thought it was mediocre but a few of us got a lot more opportunities because of it, especially the scripters.
That fort can be seen being used by a lot of clans now. Think of what more a project of this magnitude could do.
The WWII and clan communities are huge, and considering this type of project can fit the interests of almost everyone who enjoys either WWII in general, or FPS/shooter games, it's bound for success so long as its efficient and the developers are dedicated to its success. |
