| Sort of like the opposite of getmetatable. I want to be able to find the real "game" instance from getmetatable(game) |

| No. But you could invoke a metamethod and "self" would refer to it. |

Wait I just realized what you want. Uh, well it depends, what are you trying to do? Are all the metatables unique? If so you could create a weak table to keep track of things. |
