Well if you have a negative mindset you will.
Be positive. Be optimistic.
Don't think "Wow this is hard I won't get it"
instead, think "Wow, this is going to be fun once I get the hang of this!"
It's like learning to read and write all over again. It's complicated at first, but becomes so easy once you get the hang of it and understand all the in's and out's of it. |

Personally, i'm still learning. A LOT.
I've got the hang of the basics, but there's still much more to learn and get down.
I would say the time it takes to learn depends on the persons learning style.
If you're a hands on type of person, open on studio and tinker with scripts from free models!
If you're a visual type of guy, Youtube!
If you're a classic read and learn, the wiki and this forum have countless pages of information. |

We've all been practicing.
As long as you pay attention and speculate everything and get disproved and 1up'd hard like all the people do on SF, then you will learn quite fast. Ask DrSaint(nicolas) |

@Cody
I actually and totally agree.
If it weren't for you always coming on and correcting my mistakes, I probably would be learning less right now.

| By the time you learn the basics, you'll think you can make anything, which will lead you to having fun while learning more. Yes, learning how to script is really fun. |

| To learn the basics of scripting, it took me aproximatly 2 hours... Within two hours you can easily understand how to change properties and those stuff, use loops... Within a week of practising you'll be able to use events. Depending on how intensive you practise, you'll be able to make a simple game after 1.5 months. |

| I made my first crapgame in 1.5 months. It's basic and ugly and stuff, but it is a game and I made it without free models, so yeah :3 |
