why does the human brain work? i'm not asking HOW it works, but WHY. I know there are neurons, they connect and do data stuff... But what makes them do that in the first place? Why are they doing this and not something else??

i suppose it was the direction it was set in during birth
it will continue to cycle around and ping other body parts and move muscles until one of it's crucial functions are destroyed
jeb get me the seperatrons | that doesn't stop the fact that your house will no longer resemble a house |

"i suppose it was the direction it was set in during birth..."
This leads me to another question, what set it this way in the first place? Your answer only answered part of my big question, but it was still very helpful.
I reposted this on RT to get more answers. The RT threads has more of what I said, which could help you understand more accurately what I'm talking about. http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=13
"because you have rude bulba" It would be very convenient, productive and nice if this bulba you speak of existed.

because evolution and there would be no brains if they didnt work
its basically in perpetual motion with energy n sht and food/oxygen keeps it going |

Evolution and keeping you alive are nice but they are mere excuses. Your brain doesn't perform tasks because it has to, but because it is provided with the supplies it need to perform these tasks and is programmed to do them. The question here is what programmed the brain to do this in the first place, and what happened there physically.

I was looking for where physics go in this. Chemicals is a cool answer because it's known already that chemicals can program our brain. If chemicals can program the brain then chemicals can be translated into actions, and with the development of appropriate equipment we will be able to know exactly what each chemical does through some kind of chemical code. Chemical code programming will be a breakthrough in science because it can make your brain do anything you want it to do, which is normally impossible. That answer seems satisfying, but before another question arises in my mind about this, I just remembered what led me into thinking about this topic in the first place.
Electricity. You can program a computer to perform tasks if it's connected to a source of electricity which powers it, but what does that electricity physically do? where does it go and what how does mere matter manipulate it so wisely? Magnetic Storage is when the matter in which the data is stored alters the magnetism inside it to a certain pattern that can be "read" with proper equipment (computers) and changes using electricity. And again, why is electricity able to do this and how does it happen??

In all honesty, science has yet to discover how a brain really works. We know very little about it.
Honest history is the weapon of freedom. |
