Why do you put requests through your own servers? Why not just check the ROBLOX catalog directly and avoid crashing your own servers, isn't that what your servers are doing anyways? I'm not an expert on this but I don't see a reason other than to have control over the notifiers. |

How does it make it faster? Aren't you just contacting a server that contacted ROBLOX's server already to check? Going directly to enterprise servers made to handle many requests seems like it would be faster. |

because its bette to have one person checking the catalog and telling 20,000 people than to have 20,000 people checking the catalog

The reason ROBLOX's inventory was removed was because it was causing a DDoS affect on their servers, if I scan it and send it through my server I don't have 19,000 people connecting to their servers, the 19,000 people connect to mine which means they probably won't patch my method. Also then I can control bandwidth, rather than people using 37KB on a ROBLOX page I can page it 500 bytes on mine

but in the end you still have people who check the catalog you realize ROBLOX is made to handle a lot of people ROBLOX+ isn't as strong a server, as you saw from the Green Sidewinder incident |

their servers are made to handle a lot of people yes, but when u have 20,000 people requesting catalog pages like 4 times a second
100,000 requests per second is still a lot of data to process

No, my server can't handle all 20,000 people at once, which is why I make it recheck when the notification fails. People who use ROBLOX+ have a new option now when purchasing items, buy to support ROBLOX+ when it's ticked I get 10% of the purchase, in October I'll be reconsidered for devex and if they let me cash out I'll be using the money to upgrade my hardware, and VPS after that I should be able to handle everything
But my notifier does a lot more than check the catalog JSON, it's using about 10MB/sec I want ROBLOX+ to be internet efficient, 500 bytes every 5 seconds is nothing compared to 10MB/sec People wouldn't even use it because of how much internet it uses not to mention if ROBLOX noticed an extension was using 200GB/sec+ they would have it shut down no doubt
