Introduction: This Guide/Thread will show you what you need to make an ideal ROBLOX Machinima. We'll be disucussing: Camera Angles, Script writing, Software, *Audio Recording, Editing, and more.
(* signifies that this course is not mandatory)
CHAPTER 1: SOFTWARE
Types of Software you'll need: Video Editor, Script Writing Program, Image Editor, Audio Recording Program, and of course a Screen Recorder.
For a Video Editor, i recommend Camtasia, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere.
Script Writing Programs: Well the only decent one i know is CeltX, you can get a 15 Day Free Trial. There's another one that costs alot of money, but i don't recall the name.
Image Editor: Image editors are essential to Graphics in your videos and Thumbnails. Ones i recommend are Photoshop, and Paint.NET.
Audio Recording Program: Just use Audacity, it's free and good.
Screen Recording Programs: Camtasia, DXtory, and Fraps.
CHAPTER 2: (Going to be in a reply of this post)

I would recommend Sony Vegas..
And another good recorder is: OBS
And there is also GIMP.
I personally don't like GIMP, but I know others who do.. |

CHAPTER 2: CAMERA ANGLES
Camera Angles are essential to Machinimas, but how do you exactly freeze the camera? Well, if you go check in Dayren's sets and subscribe to the "Camera Tools". There are a variety of tools you can use in his set.
Now there are different types of shots, and i cant explain all of them, but here are a few:
Long Shot - Shot from a Far Distance
Over the shoulder Shot - Camera is over a Persons Shoulder, usually shown in a scene with a conversation.
Birds eye view - Shot from above
Worms eye view - Shot from below, to make the person look big

I good one must be at least funny..
But, there is other paths on the matter. One could be depressing, interesting, sad, etc. And also when I say "funny" I don't mean overused jokes. It has to be fresh. For example, (Sorry Phirefox, Favee,) Phirefox's jokes are getting old and kinda boring. Favee, on the other hand, is to hyper. And he relies on swearing and shock humor, and it's not very shocking anymore. Though, they are still good YouTuber's
I see people following in there shadow a lot. For example, Gamebluxxer. He's going the Favee route. Cussing, swearing, etc.
Anyways, a good editing program, photo editing program, etc, is not going to make a "good machinima" Even the video maker has to be likable. For example, (let's call him Bob) Bob, he is a jerk. Bob hates YouTube, he's only in the game for money. Subscriber count: 46 Unlike someone named Jim. Jim, is very nice. He loves YouTube, and he does it for fun. Subscriber count: 500
And also for audio!!!!
For machinimas, you should script your video.
If you are just talking in a microphone coughing and spitting all over the place, it's not going to be that fun to watch.
Then you need to edit the video and audio.. etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. Though you are right, you do need good software to make the quality good. But then there's everything else..
Lol. I made my own chapter.

Also, I mean no offense to Gamebluxxer, Favee, and Phirefox.
Mostly to Gamebluxxer, I went in another YouTuber's path before.. |

| I find writing scripts less funny. All my videos are improvised. I never know what I'm going to put in the next one. |
