Right now about 1% of players buy something from decently good games for ~100R$ on average. Meaning per million visits you could only make about 1M robux per 1M visits.
If we could get some data on what makes people buy stuff and what kind of stuff is bought most and when and why, then I would imagine we could increase the conversion rates from 1% to up to 5% of even 10%! The more we understand people's motives, the more we can use the knowledge against them.
If it were allowed to pay for such things inside roblox with roblox currency, then I'd be willing to pay like 5-10k for such research to figure out how to significantly game pass sales increase conversion rates. But since it's not, I can't put this offer up I guess. :/ |

What I've learned is:
A. Users are more likely to buy a gamepass/ dev product if it helps them in the game a good amount, like in an obby have a gravity coil / skip level dev product
B. Social items, like being able to play music out loud or something also sells good |

| @Alpha, It's not nonsense. It's called planning for the future. ;) If in the next 5 years I could make 100M ROBUX ($250,000 -real life tax) and cash that out (not TOO unreasonable as I'm pretty good at making games). I could be set for life. I'd invest $100K into Tesla stock as I believe it will go up, the rest into real estate or some kind of bonds or other stocks. Which would mean passive income for life. Since I'm from Europe, I could move to a cheap country like Spain while the real estate I'm renting out is in the UK or USA, meaning I'd get enough to live very comfortably and be able to do whatever I want really, whenever I want, thus avoiding the 9-5 bs. |

| I'm 17, hence why I'm so anxious about the future since I have to live on my own soon, and that scares the crap out of me (mostly the money issue). |

It's not nonsense yet you're talking about hiring a psychologist and paying him 10 grand to research the activity of a community of 6-12 year olds that play an online block game so you can get over 250 grand from said block game, invest into real estate, and move to Spain.
Think about how that sounds for a second. |

@alpha, pfft, it sounds like a plan! It's a bid crazy sounding indeed, but if done, it could be brilliant. It would be a really good investment if the knowledge was put to use. It probably wouldn't be necessary to give $10K actually and a better range that would work too is $1K-$3K. It too would get the job done, be less risky and much much more affordable.
But there are probably other methods too. For example giving 10K-50K ROBUX (based on quality of results) to some user who is decently smart and can draw conclusions to figure out what works and what doesn't. The pay here would be much less of course since the person would probably not know much about psychology and human behaviour or how to properly look into it.
Then again, I could try do some amateur research myself. :D |

| @alpha, except he'd probably have to play and analyze another 50-100 games (and carefully analyze their game passes), each for maybe 30 minutes to understand the gameplay and what becomes useful when and find out when it becomes most tempting to buy a certain game pass and then question around what game passes others have bought and why they bought it and many other things. It sounds easy but it's harder than you would think, if our aim is to actually discover knowledge that works and is also transferable to other games. Definitely would require around 50-100 hours of work and play. |
