Now show an IRL of your tulpa.
It's better to dance in the rain, than to sit around waiting for the sun. |

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or just missed the joke. |

what's so cool about talking to a person who doesn't exist
think about it again if they don't exist anyways then why go through all the tulpa creation process if you can just talk to some kind of instant imaginary friend
it's the same, isn't it? only tulpas have a really big memory?

tulpae are different from normal "imaginary friends" in that they're not puppets of the creator. A creator of a tulpa treats their tulpas as another consciousness living inside their head, and tend to think differently from their creator. They tend to have their own thoughts, emotions, ideas, opinions, likes and dislikes, and more that are separate from their creators.
While the creator and the tulpa share the same experiences and memories (due to existing in one mind and body), you can discuss things and topics with your tulpa. The both of you can bring up points and the tulpa can bring up points and ideas that you would never bring up yourself because of the way he or she thinks. Generally, a tulpa is a mental companion that becomes lifelong friends with you, a bond between you and your own mind. What a tulpa looks like is just an illusion, a form a tulpa uses to represent themselves. So really, Rose isn't a girl or a tiger, but that's how she likes to see herself as.
there, there's my rushed and messy explanation. I hope I answered your question. |

that's a nice description of what a tulpa is, but the two are still too similar. a tulpa's free will can be copied into a regular imaginary friend by making it not always agree with you, using some kind of randomization. keep focusing on that imaginary friend and it will become somewhat real to you. and it's not a tulpa, you decide what it does randomly. just like i'd tell you to imagine a teapot around a rock, in which direction of the rock you'd imagine the teapot is completely random. that's how imaginary friend randomization would work, and it's scary. also, I did your mom. thanks for the response, i'm done.

You're describing what is described in the community as "parroting." It's when a tulpa "acts" on its own, but it's really still just you. Some while creating a tulpa struggle to get past this point, as "parroting" isn't what a tulpa actually is. Parroting feels forced, not genuine. What makes a tulpa unique is that... it FEELS like it's independent from you. It FEELS like they're actually alive.
I don't know, it's really hard to explain unless you've experienced it yourself. |
