I got a call today, I answer it and some Indian guy says
"hello, this is amazon"
said he was calling about some order i made
he knew what i had ordered, how much it cost, and the last 4 digits of my card which was pretty creepy
tried to ask for more info and i hung up

| I advise you to scan your computer, you're most likely key logged. Remove any information regarding your cards, credentials, and anything else important. |

yeah unless the credit card was saved in amazon and you didnt type it in?
also, call your bank, tell them what happened.
they'll probably suggest changing your credit card number, it's not fun, but it's safe

i had typed in the card for that transaction, so they would have no need to call to try and get more if they already had it
i called the bank already and they said the scammers wouldn't be able to do anything with the information they had |

| its possible it was a breach in amazon security, i routinely scan my computer and i dont really go anywhere that would get me a keylogger |

Don't worry about it.
Nobody knows how they get the info, but it's not your end.
the fact you saw it as false was good enough.
Legit amazon callers will call from their HQ rather than a call centre, so check that caller ID

One annoying group pretends to want to give me a survey but they're phishing as usual. I either ignore the call or I blare loud music on the phone to piss them off lol. |
