(I wanted to take this post (http://web.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=159581483) by someone else to the next level by building on his thoughts.)
S&I should go beyond being a forum. It's a part of ROBLOX that almost all people can relate to, and as it is like that, they need to take it beyond a forum. Also, forums can be.. er.. indelicate to newer people, and many people don't have any forum posts even though they can relate to this forum at least. Here's my ideas.
1. S&I should become a paid service. This would do many things. When the admins comb over an S&I like thing, they will see a lot less wasteful things. And if someone NBC has a genuinely good idea, they can probably convince some BCer to pay for it to go on S&I like thing.
2. S&I should have a "Thumbs up/Thumbs down" feature. When people are like "Support" or "No support" it's hard to count how many people are for it, and how many are against it. With the "Thumbs up/Thumbs down" you should be able to write a comment about how it's a good or bad idea.
3. It should become a tab-like thing somewhere. Like I said in the opening paragraph, forums are rather "indelicate" to other people, so it should be more than a forum. Also, the forums can seem rather daunting with the deeply set communities that come with every forum, so newcomers can be shied away. If it became more, there would be more, better suggestions.
4. A better sorting system. Terrible posts can stay on the front page for multiple days because people are like "troll confirmed" and such. If it was changed to something like most "Thumbs up" tying in with my "Thumbs up/Thumbs down" feature, these posts would not get as much attention.
Please reply with some honest feedback, and try not to be rude. |

"Or the mods can just delete them." Mods don't come here, and this is a children's site, so it's to indelicate sometimes. |

This would have to be in Robux and a one time fee otherwise no support. If it is Robux and one time fee then I support.
"S&I should have a "Thumbs up/Thumbs down" feature
It's abusable. People will automatically click Thumbs down and it would be unfair to the OP.
" It should become a tab-like thing somewhere."
No idea what you mean. If you mean something like chat then I support.
". A better sorting system."
Again this is abusable

| The only way the page won't be filled with lame threads is if there's intense moderation like ATR has. |

1. What else could S&I be? 2. It's indelicate due to the fact that most of the posts here are spam.
"1. S&I should become a paid service. This would do many things. When the admins comb over an S&I like thing, they will see a lot less wasteful things. And if someone NBC has a genuinely good idea, they can probably convince some BCer to pay for it to go on S&I like thing."
NO. S&I should be open to everybody who has an idea to improve roblox.
"2. S&I should have a "Thumbs up/Thumbs down" feature. When people are like "Support" or "No support" it's hard to count how many people are for it, and how many are against it. With the "Thumbs up/Thumbs down" you should be able to write a comment about how it's a good or bad idea."
Easily abusable.

This makes no sense.

This doesn't make sense either.

Support. The paid service thing has the right idea, but people will get pretty mad about it.

Just because they don't reply to your threads doesn't mean they never saw it. |

| I agree with everything except paid service. Paid service will cut down on spam, but it prevents people with little money who possibly have great ideas. It's bad enough everyone is still complaining about price floor. |

I'm clarifying everything Guest said didn't make sense, and replying to #2.
#2, The thumbs up, thumbs down feature is no less abusable than the forum, and all it does is allow people to say support or no support more clearly.
#3, as I said S&I is something almost all of ROBLOX can relate to because everyone has ideas for it. Because of this, it would make sense for it to be more accessible from the website, and sometimes forums can be not very kind to newcomers, as I said. Also, overall, the layout of a forum doesn't fit S&I all that well, because great ideas can just be lost. "so newcomers can be shied away. If it became more, there would be more, better suggestions." I typo'd there. It's "so newcomers can be shied away. If more people joined because of its location, there would be more, better suggestions."
#4, This ties in with what I just said about the forum system. People reply to troll posts, leaving them bumped up onto the front page for hours and hours, taking space that could be used for a good idea. If it was sorted better, for example with thumbs up/thumbs down, then these posts wouldn't stay. |
