Everyday you can go onto the forums and most likely you will find someone who is PGed. It's something that needs to stop, it's already gotten out of hand.
In case you don't know, PGing is essentially guessing someone's pass to login to their account. This often happens to old accounts created around 2006-2010. It's very common nowadays.
So, I have a couple of ideas that can help stop players from PGing accounts. If you have any ideas that could resolve the issue as well, post them here.
My first idea is that if an account has been inactive for a certain period of time (say 12 months), it will be "locked" and in order to unlock the account, the owner must send a request to unlock it. This will send an email linked to the account to unlock it. This will prevent players from logging into inactive accounts and stealing them.
Another idea is a 2-step verification method (optional), this will further protect your account from being PGed. |

It should be 2 personal questions such as
Your favorite pets name -
Favorite sport
-
I'm TheHockeyWizard and I play hockey |

@AwsomeAwsomebro4: A 2-step verification system would be a purely optional thing. It's just to help you secure your account. If you no longer have a phone you can change the phone number in your settings.
@TheHockeyWizard: Nice idea. |

I think personal questions would be nice, but it would be really hard to get every single user to add them to your account and wouldn't be effective at stopping 06-10 PGs.

| Good idea but could take a lot of work and maintenance to keep that system going. |

| It's the owner of the account's fault for choosing an easy PW to guess. |

| How about where you can only attempt the pass word five times before you have to unlock it through email, then require accounts to have a valid email whether its the kids or the parents. |

| @tomukas28: That wouldn't work. That feature has never existed and so ROBLOX won't already have the answers ready to see if the user types it out correctly. |

PGing = pass guessing
You can't stop people from typing words into a box until they get lucky. |

| No support, if someone got PGed it meant that their pw was not good enough. |
