| You're probably gonna end up running that off AC power 999999% of the time. But its decent if you just look at specs alone. |

also i feel like crying now considering that my laptop was $900, has a 1600x900 display, only has a bad integrated GPU (intel HD graphics 4000 1GBvram), a keyboard that sometimes is a little crappy, and was bought back in 2012... for around $200-$300 more, I could've gotten a way better laptop. also something to learn about my laptop: it has the drivers installed for a proper AMD GPU (by proper GPU, i mean one that isn't soldered to the motherboard), but it doesn't even have the GPU in it. it's a sad computer, really.

| Yes, but do you need a laptop? A gaming desktop could be much better for the same price. |

@Radical That's true. But for people like me, we travel sometimes. And when we're traveling, on a plane or train, maybe in a car, or just at out destination in a hotel or something, we like to get out our laptop and play some video games... I do that sometimes with my laptop, and play some simple games like minecraft because minecraft is one of the few that don't make my laptop lag to death. Basically, a laptop can go to many places. Meaning you don't have to be confined to a desk with your desktop computer to play video games.

| Horrible. Look 4K Is Great but. With a Single 970M You WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE 4K IN ANY RECENT GAME 60 FPS STABLE. You can look At Websites Cooler though I Guess. |

| No GPU is efficient at handling 4K on the most demanding games as of now. |

@tnt,
What the hell. There is no laptop in the world that will even handle 4K. Also, why the hell do you keep on talking about 4K? When, nobody even mentioned it? |

"No GPU is efficient at handling 4K on the most demanding games as of now." that's true but the display is still pretty high-end, and should deliver awesome results, whether OP would use 4k or not. preferably, I would just play at 1080p for good performance. depending on how the specs can handle 2k (2560x1440, 1440p), as i have never really seen or used a laptop that powerful, maybe 2k would be usable. also, i would assume that the 4k display would be usable for video watching. idk people, lets just be impressed at the fact that it is pretty powerful and still has a 4k display, and isn't even over 1,500 dollars. as far as I can tell, it's more powerful than some macbook pros of the same price range (but that's a no-brainer, since apple never really put "innovative"-type/very good specs in their products).

The 4K display adds some price to it. But for the most part, it barely adds much at all to the price. The laptop, I think, has a pretty good price considering what I've paid in the past for laptops. Don't go looking for another laptop, OP, it's a very good laptop. I think it is very good price-wise, considering that it is only about 300 dollars more than my laptop. And has way more OP specs.
Evidence: http://www(dot)cnet.com/products/sony-vaio-e-series-sve14a27cxh-14-core-i7-3632qm-windows-8-64-bit-8-gb-ram-1-tb-hdd/specs/
ignore the specs for "AMD Radeon HD 7670M". my laptop doesn't have it for some sad reason )= also it actually has a 2gb intel hd graphics 4000 sorry about that

32 GB of RAM either means the RAM is low-quality or that it's throwing the price tag up ~200$, so if it didn't have the 970M (which is basically a desktop 960/desktop 770 BTW) i'd say it's pretty bad
but it isn't. i'd agree with buckeye that you should play the games in 1080p to avoid losing frames at max settings, since 1080p isn't that bad |
