Can someone tell me why Danny Ings was such a coveted player for Liverpool? What does he bring to the table?

11 goals and 4 assists this past season in a Burnley side which wasn't very good offensively, he was linked to United, Spurs, and many other clubs, we get him for a cheaper fee because his contract is expiring (still gotta pay compensation of about 7-10m since he's under 24), and he's 22 and got loads of potential.

I get that Burnley struggled and he's young, but why is he such a "big" signing when 11 goals doesn't seem like a lot?

11 goals is actually quite decent for a young striker, especially with a side struggling for offense, and he's got tons of potential. Possible future England starter.
