This is the guide to the HMS Ironhand in TGNB. It will explain the history, ranking, and structure of the ship.
\\-History-//
The Ironhand was commissioned under the rule of King Sy in late 2013. It was one of the first ships commissioned when the squadrons were put in place by King Sy. The First Captain of the Ironhand was a Commander, CP3fan1. Upon gaining control of the ship, he made a group for it and had many future officers become crew men on the ship. The ship served in many wars, including the first Anglo-Spanish war, the French-British war, and recently the Anglo-American war against TCA. It played it's greatest role in the Spanish war where it served as a Frigate against the Spaniards in the first battle of the war, sinking multiple ships and securing a lead that would never be taken back by the Spanish through the war. As time went on, the Captain rose more ranks until joining the Admiralty, in which he was forced to give up command of the ship to focus on commanding a squadron. When this happened, long time first officer and loyal friend of the Captain, gameman625, took over control of the ship. He possessed the ship for months and led it through the Anglo-American war (Not many sea battles, but still). After retiring, the ship was temporarily decommissioned and had no Captain. In May 2015, CP3fan1 (Now CP3HandIes) it was re-commissioned. It is one of the legendary ships of Britannia today due to it's rich history and famous crew members.
\\-Ranking-//
The ranking system of the Ironhand is as follows:
Marine Crew: The Marine Crew sits on the bow and is made up of Sergeant and below in the RMC. They are the first ones to board/land when commanded. Also used to snipe.
Gun-Deck Crew: The Landsmen-Gunners on the ship. These people always sit below on the ship and are responsible for firing the gun deck cannons.
Gun-Deck Commanders: Made up of 2 Boatswains. These are the commanders of the Gun Deck. They relay orders given from the Midshipmen/Captain from the Weather deck. They are responsible for keeping the crew in line and also helping in battle by firing cannons.
Lookouts: The lookouts are normally Seamen and Gunners who sit on the tops and watch for activity.
Lookout Commanders: The commanders are both Boatswains and their job is to relay what the lookouts see to the Weather deck.
Midshipmen: The Midshipmen are made up of both Midshipmen and Masters. They are responsible for relaying the Captains and commanding officers orders to the crew below. The Midshipmen sit at mid-ship on the Weather Deck.
Crew Manager: The Crew Manager is usually an Acting Lieutenant, but can be a Master as well. They manage the rest of the crew and make sure everyone does their jobs. They usually sit on the Bow of the ship.
OFFICERS
Marine Commander: A Sergeant Major+ of the RMC. They are in charge of the marines on deck.
Advisers: Acting Lieutenants mainly and their job is to give advice to other officers and keep the crew in line. They sit on the stern of the ship.
First/Second Officers: The 2ic and 3ic of the ship. If the captain dies, they take over the ship, or if he has to go AFK. They sit on the Quarter Deck beside the Captain.
