would that mean there would be a world where dinosaur like creatures roamed or there could be interesting parallels in evolution
cuz that'd be cool
if not and they'd be completely different

Aliens don't actually need the near exact conditions of your planet. Probably because our bodies don't work the same as yours do.

there could be alien life with planets the opposite of our's. They might not need to eat anything, or drink any substance, and even breathe any element

| Actually they would need a something to survive such as sunlight for a process similar to photosynthesis. |

"Actually they would need a something to survive such as sunlight for a process similar to photosynthesis."
They could live on a planet too far away to harvest energy from the sun. They would be in orbit, or just freely going through space. They could produce their own bodily energy or something.
We wouldn't know since anything is possible.

if the world revolves around its star and does not rotate, different sides of the planet will be lit up during different points of the year
so essentially its kinda like a year long day i think |

| Life on a planet that didn't receive enough energy from the sun would probably be microbial and survive by clinging to geothermal vents for sustenance. Then there'd probably be organisms that eat the microbial but I don't imagine any larger food chain due to lack of available energy. |

Who says the need to get their energy from the sun? The fact is, anything is possible.

if not from the sun, the best substitute i can think of is hydrothermal vents
but if the sun is so distant that not oceans can exist im not sure hydrothermal vents can either |
