| obviously anime is gonna be better than western cartoons cuz all wstern cartoons have the same target audience: children, who are extremely easy to please, where anime is for all different ages. Also there is a wider variety of anime than there is of western cartoons. I'm not even a fan of anime and I know this. |

Also the reason cartoons get cancelled so much is because they need to sell merchandise and are only for a specific gender. This is unlike Anime, which selling merchandise is optional and can be enjoyed by all genders.
Before you try and counter me, look at Attack on Titan and Kill La Kill and then watch the podcast of the reason why Young Justice was cancelled and the fact that there were no female action figures for The Last Airbender then come talk to me. |

@blue Honestly, I think clay or wire based stopmotion would work best for lovecraft's books. It could really capture the mood of the books well. I mean, some of Aardman's earlier stuff was pretty dark for it's time.
I made a new word! It's called plagiarism |

actually, the Cartoon Network single-shot episode thingies aren't half bad for instance: "Back to Backspace", the Over the Garden Wall one and "Tweleve Forever" the other ones are crap |

Anime: Attack on Titan and Fullmetal Alchemist
-Masterfully performed opening and ending theme songs, complete with beautiful, unique animation specifically made for them. Updates and changes to reflect current arc.
-Beautiful art style, exquisite detailing of background and character models. Breathtaking visuals.
-Beautifully orchestrate score that can range from pop, rock, jazz, blues and any genre that fits the unique established setting.
-Action Show: Amazing storytelling usually based around a centralized plot which develops leading up to a spectacular finish.
-Comedy Show: Comedy rooted in the country's own culture. Historical and cultural humors that can range from slapstick to commentary.
-Can tackle heavy subjects with a mature tone, life, death, murder, philosophy, suicide, grief, etc.
-Covers a wide range of genres: Action, Adventure, Drama, Comedy, Romance, Magical Girl, Sports, Games, Slice-of-Life, Coming of Age.
Cartoon: Ben 10 and Breadwinners
-Song is poorly performed, usually just describes the premise of the show, or it's the title of the show repeated ad nasueasm. Animation of 99% of the time clips from the show.
-Simple, ugly drawings from an 8 year old. Usually either Flash or CG.
-Whatever background music the network has in their stock music library.
-Action Show: Episodic. Usually about superheroes.
-Comedy Show: Toilet and crude humor. Family Guy-style humor if it's a rare adult cartoon.
-You're lucky if you're even allowed to hit someone. On=screen death and violence a big no-no. 'Death' usually handled via ambiguous environmental explosion. No body is ever shown. No one ever acknowledges you know what
-Comedy or children's action shows. 99% of the time superheroes |

it's only because the cartoons here are tailored towards the little kids who think that being weird as hell is really funny and humorous
while anime has panty shots everywhere and over there it's a social norm |

"star wars spinoff movies and cartoons have never been good and this is coming from someone who's in love with the original trilogy, the games (mainly Battlefront and KoTR, and the books and stuff"
The Clone Wars was amazing. They added so much to Anakin's character, actually bothered to include Darth bane, sith sorcery...etc
Oh yeah, KOTOR isn't canon anymore
