| Ok so I hate having guest because they're too nooby and annoying and I'd like to have a script so when a guest joins he/she gets kicked/banned. Not sure if this is possible but we can see? Maybe add a script like User = "Player"+Random.Range(0,999); (Thats from a cs random name thing but yeah maybe something that kicks anybody with the name "Guest") |

| Well, why? This just makes no sense? If us players of roblox don't want guest to join us then why not let us? Well, from my point of view there are ways I see why. It'd probably cause almost all the games/servers on here that'll have this script. |

game.Players.PlayerAdded:connect(function(p) if string.sub(string.lower(p.Name),1,6) == 'Guest ' then plr:kick() end end)

| Just letting you know, if you kick guests out of your game, you will never hit the front page. 1. Because they are a major source of traffic. 2. Because it's against the rules and if you got close to the front page the staff would notice there are no guests and delete your place. |

The point of Roblox is to be friendly to everyone, including Guests.
Plus, if the Guests decide that your game is good, they might make accounts and actually be more skilled and informed next time they play.
Besides, banning/kicking Guests is the same with hating other people because their religion/skin colour/beliefs are different. |

| That's a good Idea but I'd have to fix up teleportation portals to different world without normal players :/ Anybody willing to help? |

In further stages of game development, I plan on making a shorter version of my game for guests, and at the end of it, saying on the screen something like:
"To play the full version, make an account on ROBLOX!"
Or something, to encourage more people to join.
--
Something like a time-limit or a checkpoint they can't get past, ofc I'd let them know at the start it is a trial version.
--
Btw, this is the best way to check if a guest joins your game:
local guestName = "^Guest%s%d+$"
local Players = game:GetService("Players")
Players.PlayerAdded:connect(function(player) if player.Name:match(guestName) then --player is a guest else --player is not a guest end end) |

Maybe a plugin that freezes them if they join the full version server and it notifies saying "To play the full version of this game please register an account on Roblox!" And another notification saying "If you don't want to signup please join our Trial server/game" |

I plan on having my trial version be apart of the full version. Think of WoW, how with a trial you can get to a certain point but you can't pass a certain level. That's the sort of restriction I'd do.
But if they could make serious progress, I would make it so there would be a save code, and they could write it down so whenever they got onto a new account they could use it.
It would auto-save for everyone else, but if you are a guest you get a save-code in case you want to continue on an actual account. |

| Not only is that not allowed, you're preventing a decent chunk of players from enjoying your game. |

@cody123454321
That's so true.
I don't have the wonders of scripting in my pockets yet, but I have plenty of ways to get them. I'm a learner like everyone else, but I know how to learn, so I have an advantage over some. |

@amanda It's better to simply check if the player's userId is less than 1. |
