NOTE: There is a tl;dr at the end of this story, because I did find this quite long. But I would appreciate it if somebody could read through the whole thing. On ANOTHER note, I am out of school and this happened nearly a week ago. It isn't something that happened recently, but still thought I'd share.
So, we aren't allowed to have electronics out during regular school days. Well, for that day we were allowed. Only because it was supposed to be this fun little relaxing day and each period was a different activity, so that period was 'electronic hour'.
I had my phone out for a while, and then I saw this little crowd by a group of desks. I noticed they were doing the Charlie Charlie Challenge. Now, like I said this was nearly a week ago so it was more trending and it was even more stupid. I thought I'd record it. Now before I tell you the rest, let me tell you one of the guidelines at our school; no taking videos or photos in the classroom. I didn't think that rule would necessarily apply due to the fact that in the video, it only showed our hands and a piece of paper with a couple of pencils on it. That's all. Anyways, I was about 10 seconds into the recording when, OUT OF MY LUCK, a teacher comes up behind me and snatches my phone. She looks at me, shakes her head and walks out of the room. About 5 minutes later, she returns, has my phone in her hand and starts talking to my homeroom teacher about me. They kept whispering and looking at me and then she left the room. But this time I noticed she went down to the office. And you probably would have guessed what came after this. Yeah, the principal called me down to his office. And it was my lucky day, because this particular day, both the vice principal and the principal were both out. And I'm one lucky duck that my vice principal wasn't there because she is a disciplinary principal so she probably would have suspended me into next year. Anyways so I go down there, and I go in his office. He says, "I'm assuming you know why you're here.." and I said "Yes, sir I do." and he started going through the rules and he said "Your parents have to come to the school later to retrieve your phone" and that's where I lost it. I said "But nobody saw the video, I deleted it immediately and besides, nobody was shown in the video.." you could tell he was thinking about it and he said, "Well, your parents still have to come up to the school." So, instead of arguing with him like every disrespectful kid in my grade would do, I said "Alright." and left his office. Later that day, I got onto the bus and I noticed that a bunch of my friends were gathered at the back of the bus, crowded around this girls iPod. I asked what they were watching and it was a recording a girl got, THAT SAME DAY DURING SCHOOL, of the Charlie Charlie Challenge. I looked at her and said, "I hope you realize that Mrs. ##### took away my phone for recording in class today.." and she said, "That's odd because our homeroom teacher saw us recording, and she didn't even care"
Now, come on. A couple things happened today that just weren't right. I think that this was a bunch of BS. The way he dealt with this was like saying "Yeah, I don't care, I'm still gonna make your parents get out of work just to come retrieve your phone". He has to have respect that both my parents were working that day and it isn't that easy to just get out of work to pick up your child's phone. I'm not too impressed with the fact that another student was recording and was seen by other teachers, but yet not getting in trouble. But all in all, I am so glad I don't have to deal with this BS anymore, those teachers were absolutely horrible to me.
tl;dr had my phone out recording, nobody was shown in the video. phone taken by office, parents had to come retrieve phone even though video was deleted immediately and nobody saw |

If I were in your shoes, I'd be quite PO'ed. I'd just be lucky that I didn't get suspended or anything stupid like that.
Consider that a warning, I guess. |

@Horrible,
I guess I am lucky, but even if I did, my parents would have contacted the school because this was already ridiculous enough.
A couple of kids in my grade, not even gonna lie, have gotten disciplinary actions put on them for the stupidest things. |

@roniray,
Don't worry, I know what you're referring to. It's that revolting story that some OT'ers copy and paste because they think it will be funny to others.
