the al is just complete garbage, it's never been worse
the al central is 50/50 what people thought. kc is dominating when people thought it they would fall off. detroit isn't exactly killing it. the twins are just on fire but started sucky. cleveland and chicago suck
the al west is a moshpit behind houston (who saw them in 1st). la seems to be finding their groove, and so does texas, but they're still only 1 game abpove .500. seattle may not turn it around and oakland is garbage with potential. |

@cheesey Says the guy who thinks watching guys like Jon Lester try and hit is good baseball
I'd rather see David Ortiz hit than Jon Lester. Truth is most pitchers could care less about hitting. |

i don't care what you want to see, baseball thrives on STRATEGY and there is no STRATEGY in the "american league"
anybody that plays DH is not a baseball player and barely an athlete

| Being 2 and 3 games below .500 is not what I would classify as "sucking" |

Oh please that is utter horse you-know-what.
Are you really about to sit here and tell me that being a pure hitter is not athletic at all? And I'd would rather see "half a baseball player" post a batting average of .278 or so than see some scrub "100% baseball pitcher" routinely strike out.
Oh and if you think that putting your pitcher in the 9-hole just to be replaced by a pinch hitter in the later innings is strategy then you need to get a clue. |

"I guess the AL doesn't want their pitchers getting injured"
i haven't seen any pitcher get injured directly from swinging the bat.
AL teams are just paranoid that their pitcher won't be quick enough to avoid being hit in the hand or the knee. |

no you need to get a reality check
national league teams utilize every one of the players on their roster and pinch hitting and double switching are crucial strategies a *real* manager has to deal with every game
the AL has no strategy and their managers are a joke

here is a cheesey exclusive guys:
"I want my pitchers to hit so that the managers can use strategy to replace them in the batting order"
Do you realise how dumb that sounds? |

are you joking? because it's part of the god damn strategy of the sport, bud
jesus christ
>because the the other people can actually hit and are more durable?
can a pitcher not hit? what's the reason in preventing a pitcher from actually participating in the OTHER GOD DAMN HALF OF THE SPORT???
man DH-supporters have literally no good arguments

no, pitchers hit because they play the sport of baseball
pitchers that don't hit aren't baseball players

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard
Are you gonna tell me David Price isn't a baseball player? Are you gonna tell me Yu Darvish isn't a baseball player? Are you gonna tell me Sonny Gray isn't a baseball player?
Please get a clue and get off the "play baseball the right way" moronic train of thought. |

there's nothing funny about that
lebron james doesn't run off the court when his team doesn't have the ball so he doesn't have to play defense
he plays both sides of the sport, because that's part of playing a sport
