never. Ever. Make it save... In. The. Registry.
One of my games (Ascendant) does this, meaning that I have to specifically back it up when getting a new PC, because even when copying the entire C: drive, the registry won't carry over.
Like why the heck would anyone keep the game saving in the registry!? They say that "We know this is ####, but it was a bit difficult to change it so we just kind of kept it. We'll let you know when we change this!" *Game was made in 2013* *It's now 2015 and they still didn't change it* *They're working on a console port instead of fixing a legitimate major problem with the game*
Well, normally, any standard game (heck, even indies) doesn't have this issue, but I guess I'll have to research that too before buying a game...Unless the game is REALLY good, saving in the registry will be a deal breaker from now on. |
