They were working sixteen hours a day for barely any money at all as there was no minimum wage. Everyone was so poor and the children weren't sent to school because families needed as much money as they could get. Not only that, but there were no safety regulations in the work place. No pollution control either.
This was the Industrial Revolution. Everyone became so poor because of these things and it led to the Great Depression. This, fortunately, was the only time true capitalism was put in place. |

| child labour is still happening up in afrca they have to find chocolate beans or some crap. also i think i mess spelled happen. |
