I tried this: UserSettings().GameSettings.ControlMode = Enum.ControlMode.MouseLockSwitch
But the output: "Insufficient permissions to set ControlMode."
Is there no other way to force the player to go in that controlmode?

But i'd like to have third person, not zoomed all the way into first person. I'd like the whole mouselock option, the thing they use in sword fighting ya know. |

I've also made my own using UserInputService.MouseBehavior to lock the mouse to the center and UserInputService.UserInputType == Enum.UserInputType.MouseMovement to read the mouse movements
But the last service lacks precision (rough output, only INT values) which result into jittery camera movements even though i sync. this with RenderStepped to make the camera smoother. |

UIS.InputChanged:connect(function(Input, Bool) if not Bool then if Input.UserInputType == Enum.UserInputType.MouseMovement then print(Input.Delta) end end end) |

| Why just use the game.StarterPlayer.CameraMaxZoomDistance/CameraMinZoomDistance property to constrain the camera? |

You can use scripts to achieve this. (As stated many times above) But you cannot forcefully set the ControlMode, you would need to use a CoreScript.
