I used to know a man/woman not saying genders here that used to build a entire stadium or something related to one within the span of five minutes. He/she was a really good scriper and builder and I don't know how to script but.. I'm okay with building except the thing with it is I'm really noob towards building and compared to his/her 5 minutes it would take me 2 - 3 hours to build a somewhat decent looking stadium.
I know he/she used plugins allot that may have made it easier and I have took those tips in mind but even then I can't find a plugin with hexagon shapes or diamond shaped flat bricks or anything I need to fill things.
(I do know of the gap filler plugin but that doesn't work for me)
Is there some sort of trick to building? I use Studio Mode.. I like.. copy paste bricks I crframe I scale but my work is nothing compared to what he/she could to along with other people who build so quickly.
I'd just like some help with this please. Thanks.
Sorry if this is scrambled.
TL;DR I can't build, takes me 2 hours to build a house compared to another takes 5 - 10 minutes want to know if there's a trick to it

There aren't any particular ways to hyperspeed build that I know of.
Learn to use plugins like F3X and Qdmutl (or whatever it is again). Once trick to building faster/more efficiently is to have a clear goal in mind or a reference (not saying you should steal ideas) to aim for. I suppose your fast-building-friend just is really good at processing and working in 3D.

@Neku
F3X and Qdmutl are other plugins, right? I'll download them The other plugins have improved my building speed slightly..
Also, is there a window plugin to make windows just by clicking on an area?
And another thing, is it considered "Free Models" if you don't build it by scratch and use such things like a "tree generator"?
@Everyone
Sorry if trolls or something come I posted this thread ID in ATR for more views since I don't expect views right away.

I use building assistant and qCMDutl
Building Assistant - http://www.roblox.com/Building-Assistant-item?id=142357387
qCMDutl - http://www.roblox.com/qCmdUtl-Streamlined-building-item?id=142314093
They really save time when trying to position bricks.
Building Assistant will give you the option to copy bricks in their current position and move them on the edge of the other bricks in any axis. qCMDUtl has the average resize, move, and cframing tool along with a model resizer and Select Edge. It can switch from local to global faster unlike roblox's ctrl + L which I think is their toggle for local and global positioning. I don't know.
Anyways, When SelectEdge is selected, you can cframe two edges of a brick together by clicking the edges you want to cframe while holding alt. With Building Assistant you save so much time.
I'm terrible at explaining and what I said probably didn't even make sense but here's a video of the two tools together I made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHdiUMHrY5o
About your friend, they might have just been bluffing. I don't know anyone that can build that fast with so much detail in such a short amount of time.
What place was it? |

@Neku I tried but I'm pretty bad at finding things..
That's why I'd rather you link it since I figure you know where to look.

No problem, If you get confused I can make a low tier tutorial, but it's really easy if you just mess around with it. That's the fastest way to build I know. |

@royal.
Okay, I looked through my sent messages and received messages but I can't seem to find the person...But he had a blank baseplate before he made this whole probably 20% game done that looked so decent within the minutes based off the game we were talking about
Don't know if it's proof enough.

I really can't explain why they're so productive. They might have had the game saved to their computer or another account which can just be dumped on a baseplate in seconds. Free models who knows. It doesn't really matter though unless you have a tight schedule. I know I go nowhere so I have all the time in the world to stay at home and do nothing. |
