So I know the basics. How to make text, images, and whatnot.
Add strings, numbers ect
But that's like, super basic stuff.
I want to make plugins and stuff. But I have no idea how. I get to the console and see all this stuff and I have no idea what im looking at.
Any tips on how I can get started? |

depends on what the plugins you're trying to make are for i'd recommend looking up basic tutorials on how to make plugins for the platform you're trying to make them on |

Well I just want to make helpful stuff like Roblox+ (Webs plugin)
But all I know how to do is make a new webpage from an html document.
I dont know how to receive data from an existing page, read it, and perform an action based on the data received.
That seems like the logical next step to me. But idk how to do that |

| Firefox has started to decline recently. I switched to Chrome due to odd bugs and performance issues. |

| i was a total fan of waterfox/firefox until they started having bugs and lacking on their updates before it was much better than chrome, now it's easily debatable |

dont buy a dev license just unpack from your files
so basically, you need a background, manifest, icons, and sometimes options, jquery libraries, etc.
the manifest declares what is in the extension background is heart of extension |

Whoaaa dude, you are jumping from elementary level mathematics to advanced theoretical physics. Making Chrome extensions isn't hard but it's frustrating if you don't understand intermediate level software design. If you jump into it head on like this you're going to be asking yourself "wtf does this do" or "what does this mean" a lot and you're not going to understand what's going on.
I would suggest playing around with some JS libraries before you get started making working plugins. Do stuff in jQuery, mess around in jsfiddle, and read other people's code and try to understand what they are doing and how it works. |
