Nobody knows, since we can only gather evidence starting from the beginning of time, all we can do is speculate.

This is my personal point of view:
Before the Big Bang, everything was God. And after he creates the Big Bang, and from there on out it's Quantum Physics; not God.

There was literally nothing. No quantum states, no atoms, not even a vacuum. Just... Nothing. Before there was a universe, the place where it would've started was omnipresent. Everywhere, every state, every time. Although there was no time, so there is no real explanation. |

Nobody knows. We can't see that far back in time yet.

| Ok, I've said this before and I'll say it again: Asking what was before the beginning of time is like asking what is south of the South Pole; nothing. Nothing is souther than the South Pole because it is the /most south point./ In the same line of thinking, nothing came /before/ the beginning of time because it is the /furthest retroactively chronological point./ |

"God always has been, if that answers your question." How could a God come to exist if there would be nothing in the very beginning of everything, even before God or any other dimensions/worlds?

Let me put this is a way you humans can understand.
If time has a beginning, and everything that begins has to be set into motion, then something has/had to exist outside of time for anything to begin.

^Exactly, but then how did that come to exist? And that? It's an endless cycle this way.

@Mycro
It's best you never argue about God with a religious person. You'll get the same answer every time. No offense to Tappier, just saying from prior experience you wont get the answer you want.

Before there was light, before there was God and the archangels, there wasn't nothing. There was the Darkness, a horribly destructive, amoral force that was beaten back by God and his archangels in a terrible war.

@EN
Explain how it is that the beginning of all things must be 'set in motion.'
A ray starting at my exact position and ending in San Fransisco has a beginning; does that mean this distance was 'set in motion'? By whom? The length of time it takes to get there also has a beginning; was that period of time 'set in motion'? Who did it in that case? |

I know, I have 2/3 years of experience with that. I'm still just asking questions, though. :P
"Before there was light, before there was God and the archangels, there wasn't nothing. There was the Darkness, a horribly destructive, amoral force that was beaten back by God and his archangels in a terrible war."
And what brought the archangels into existance and how did this Darkness start its existence? If it's not nothing, it must've somehow be made or formed.
