Also, do you have to script by hand i.e start a code from a blank script or do you usually take a different script and modify it which one do you reccomend |

If you know what you're doing, it is WAY better to write from scratch: >You don't need to take time to understand someone else's (potentially inefficient and messy) code. >You can write it to the best of your knowledge, and you might even learn more quickly. >You can make it as efficient as you know how. >It is specific to your game or purpose.
>Similar arguments that I didn't really cover but came close enough to covering that I forgot them. |

Scratch; not the programming language.

| It is always better to write your own code from scratch. Code often builds upon or works with preexisting code, so it is best you are able to rewrite it at any time to make it more clean, efficient and compatible. |

Code you make is code you understand.
The way to master scripting is practice. Making something by scratch is practice. Sure you can analyse and revise other scripts, but you need to make your own scripts.

My music teacher said "You don't get better by reading music". You need to practice to get better.
Oh, he also said "Practice doesn't make perfect - perfect practice makes perfect" |

Perfect practice makes perfect is wrong.
It doesn't matter about it being 'perfect'. It's about your determination in the end. That is the deciding factor, you can never have too much of it.

My music teacher said "If you practice Skye you could be a neat little musician"
He tells me that every week because I don't practice. He's a liar. |

My music teacher is my form teacher.
I'm a good boy in school, and I'm in my 2nd year in secondary school, never had a detention, I get one like 2 weeks ago, and she cancels it for me. :D
