Like those times where you prefer the predecessor of a game instead of the successor
mine would be the Sonic Adventure games. I sorta preferred 1 over 2 |

It's not like it happens all the time but Mkay. It hard to keep quality between a game and its sequel.
Random example:
Deus Ex (Great) > Deus Ex: Invisible war (Terrible)

i usually try to look for the good in games without comparing it to older games in a series. |

| I feel the same but there are moments like the SA series where I feel like I have more fun in the first game than the second. not that the second one is bad by any means |

For TES it's complicated because it depends on people feelings of the game:
-Morrowind/Daggerfall/Arena are closer to the Old RPG system and Oblivion/Skyrim/Online aren't the same as they are mostly a FPS/TPS with RPG elements.
There's a bad TES: Redguard, it's terrible. |

Explorers of Sky>Gates to Infinity [2]
It's... just too easy. I liked the challenge of the earlier games. |

| Liked Shivers 1 better than Shivers 2, though they're both neck and neck with each other. Crooked Man was better than The Sandman. |

Dawn of War > Dawn of War 2.
The campaign in DoW2 is pretty much better than the one in the original by miles, but DoW2's multiplayer is pretty sht and the only saving grace for any multiplayer on DoW2 is Last Stand, which only got good by Retribution.

"Roblox. (First began) Great. (Now) it's just sht"
that's probably your nostalgia tinted glasses speaking, or simply because you've grown out of ROBLOX's target audience range since
though some games that were around (R2D for example) have sold out big time |

Fable 2 > Fable 3 x2
I still don't understand why they decided to get rid of the expression wheel in Fable 3, and it's not like the replacement for it is better at all. |

| Honestly, as much as I loved SR and SR2, SR III is really good and fun, but SR IV just killed the franchise, superpowers ruined the game. |
