Your title is misleading. I know a lot about computer but nothing about hardware.
You should've specified this was about hardware.
Also from limited hardware experience I do have the specs seem low-end but good enough to run most PC games, you just will have to turn the graphics down in the settings for most of them. |

A 750 TI will play CS:GO and GTA V, maybe not on high, or even medium in GTA V. My 640 did low at 1080p.
My 970 maxes it at 1080p. |

| That's why you can barely run CS;GO on low. Your GPU is an extreme bottleneck on your CPU. I'd recommend 600/700/900 series cards. A good budget upgrade would be a GT 640, they sell for like $30 I think.. there are other used cards you can get for cheap. Make sure your motherboard and PSU will support it first. Ask around. If you're willing to spend a lot, you could go for the x60, x70, and x80 cards. |

yeah, i knew my graphics were the problem. i might start saving up for something good (just as long as my processor can handle it).

I can vouch for the 970 though. It's amazing value. I only do 1080p gaming and I'm able to max every game I own except for FSX and Witcher 3 at 60+ fps.
I must warn you of the coil whine though, when you start hitting high fps (this won't damage the card but it is annoying) the coil inside the card will start to whine and usually whines higher when the fps goes higher. In a case though it's hard to hear.
I also run a quad-core 4 ghz, 4.3 ghz actually but close enough. It's an Intel but whatever. I run 16 gb of ram but it might be a little overkill for gaming, 8 should be good enough. So just upgrade your graphics card and you should be fine. |
