This is my first proper thread I've made since my intro - don't throw things at me if I do something weird ples
So I thought up this idea - Imagine there were two universes. Both fairly similar, they each have modern electronic devices, they speak the same languages. But there are not the same nations in both worlds. Though the worlds appear identical from space, the political layout of each planet is completely different.
There are also doppelgangers. For every human or animal in one world, there is an identical one in the other.
The north and south poles switch and the earth's magnetic field is reversed and then things get chaotic. Some people switch places with their doppelganger, both people finding themselves in a strange world. Upon checking their doppelganger's phone, each person finds their own number added to the contacts list with no logical reason. There's no way of returning to their world until the poles switch again in however many tens of thousands of years, so instead they make contact with their doppelganger and rely on phone calls from each other to get about in their daily lives, having absolutely no knowledge about their new world.
That's it. Does anyone have anything to say? If people like it I may expand and come up with better reasoning. |

| It's a good idea but, not a good idea for a roleplay, more like a story. But not a roleplay. |

^ How so? I see that most of the roleplays that go on here are restricted to medieval, war-torn or post-apocalyptic settings. I understand it's not very dramatic, but wouldn't a change in scene be refreshing? |

| It would, but I don't get how this roleplay would get less confusing. |

True. I probably didn't explain it well enough. Care for a simplified version, or shall we just let this thread slide until I can think of something better? |

Think of something better, maybe a roleplay where you need to fight off a huge army of soldiers or orc...
Wait, I think someone already did that. |

I get the idea, but I saw a drama about something like this.
It was a bad movie. |

Well, okay then. To be honest I was expecting a much larger crapstorm of replies than this considering it's my first proper thread. Time to get back to brainstorming~ |

| Look up war in a different galaxy in the forum search, that's hugely hated even by myself now. |
