The debate is pointless and is only ruled by a endless debate that pops in every now and then.
Some people like console and some people like pc.
You can't change someone's mind, they must do it them self.
Why do we need to be pc master race? Why can't we be "I like console" or "I like pc"?
No one is gonna sell their consoles or pcs for console or pc.
None is better, None is worse.
There will always be this argument.
But with all the pros and cons of both, People will pick one and live with the pros and cons.
Some like both some like only one.
Only trolls try to say one is better then the other, but you can't ever say it is.
I like pc, but I can accept if you like consoles they both run games so fighting is irrelevant. |

No, PC's are demonstrably better than consoles. In hardware, in price, in number of games, in choice of peripherals. Everything.
Them both running games is an irrelevant argument, because PC does so with better performance, for less money, with more games to run, and more things to do besides playing games.
That being said, platform wars are indeed seemingly endless. But they are not pointless.
Without the will to change things, nothing will ever change. And given how consoles are limiting games with inferior hardware and artificial exclusivity, for example, I'd say things need to be changed.

It will continue until (as is already happening with this generation) consoles lag behind and become obsolete, at which point they will no longer be profitable compared to PC's, at which point the monolithic console market will end up collapsing. But that isn't likely to happen for a long time even as consoles continue lagging behind further and further.
Even if PC does have a phenomenal shift in gameplay and graphics, the average consumer will still be indoctrinated by marketing and will simply still be ignorant of PC gaming entirely like families and kids and gamers will be still be: "PC is too expensive/hard/time prohibitive" PCs are not a monolithic platform; There is no unified advertising campaign. Consoles are successful because they take advantage of the religious nature of capitalism in terms of the iconography of graphics, the idolatry of brands, and the commodity fetishism of exclusives.
Unlike literally every previous generation of consoles, this current generation isn't capable of matching current PC's for a reasonable price, and this gap in performance will only increase further with the advent of DX12, HBM, and things like id Tech 6.

| I agree. Gamers should be allowed to enjoy their games on whatever hardware they wish. I know PCs are better graphically but many people cannot afford a pc and therefore they will have to play on console. |

A self built PC the same cost of a console exceeds the graphical power of a console, and has free online. |

FINALLY! SOMEONE GETS IT! This whole PC vs. Console "war" is completely pointless. Some people prefer PC's, and some prefer Consoles. Can't we all just get along? |

At the very least, you don't have to assemble a console. Seriously, if I tried to assemble a PC, chances are i'd end up welding the motherboard to my hand.
I made a new word! It's called plagiarism! |

First, wtf would you be welding it for?
Second, building a PC is basically like building with Legos. It's not actually that complicated if you read the manual. |

@Lord Even if it snowed in July, and I somehow successfully assembled it, I wouldn't have anywhere to store this giant monolith of a desktop.

Agreed with OP aka Logan.
Although I'm a PC gamer myself, I still compliment both of the platforms... |

I owned a ps3 and an xbox 360 before i ever owned my gaming pc. If I dodn't feel good about my purchase, I would have sold it. |
