| I was thinking of some sort of game where you can cast egyptian spells. I thought that the hieroglyph would appear from a block, but how do u make the block appear? And how to make it actually do something? |

| If you made that game, I'd surely play it, but i cannot help you since i am a wreck at scripting :P But the idea is very cool and if the game turns out as you hope it will be front-page worthy |

Instance.new('Part', Workspace)
This will create a part in the workspace (make a block appear)
If you want to change the part's properties such as colour, shape, size etc.
I suggest you read the wiki. |

local BLOCK = Instance.new("Part") BLOCK.BrickColor = BrickColor.new("Bright red") -- this line changes the colour of the block BLOCK.Size = Vector3.new(20,20,20) --this line changes the size of the block BLOCK.TopSurface = "Smooth" -- This line makes the block's top surface smooth BLOCK.BottomSurface = "Smooth" -- This line makes the block's bottom surface smooth BLOCK.Transparency = 1 --Add this line if u want to make the BLOCK invisible BLOCK.Parent = game.Workspace --This line adds the BLOCK into the game BLOCK:remove() --This line removes the BLOCK from the game

| Zenuvius, that is all very helpful, but do u know how to make it so the block emits a particle? And do u know how to make the particle be a custom pic? |

So now, it sounds like, (SOMETHING TO TELL WHEN TO EXECUTE) Instance.new (part.Workspace) BLOCK.Transparency 1 (SOMETHING TO MAKE IT DO SOMETHING) BLOCK.Remove () |

ThankTheGods, any help we give you here will fall on deaf ears pretty much. An idea is a good start. What you need to do is start with the basics, and by that I mean reading the wiki first.
Once you figure out how to do the basics, then you can troubleshoot with us. The scripting community here isn't really a big fan of teaching people, just debugging and troubleshooting.
A few basic notes for you to get started: Almost everything a script does is just doing what you would otherwise have to do in studio, such as changing a property, adding an object, or moving something. For example: object = Instance.new("WedgePart", workspace) object.Transparency = .5 object.Position = Vector3.new(0, 3, 0)
All that does is create a wedge, parent it to the workspace, set its transparency to .5, and then moves it to the point x=0, y=3, z=0. Vector3 is pretty much any 3 numbers used for positioning - same as in the property window in the studio, it just doesn't show "Vector3". Color3 is used for colors. Instead of typing in a value from 0 to 255, it's on a scale of 0 to 1, so you have to divide by 255. object.Color3 = Color3.new(40/255, 77/255, 255/255) that would be the same as the color (40, 77, 255) in the property window.
To access other objects, scripts use the . system, which is pretty standard for handling objects in programming languages. To get to an object inside a model that is set up like this: workspace >model >>part
You would do: workspace.model.part and from there you can change properties of it. workspace.model.part.Size = Vector3.new(.2, 5, .2)
or you can drop the script inside of the part and use script.Parent model >part >>script
then: script.Parent.BrickColor = BrickColor.new("Bright red")
Hopefully this will all make sense as you start practicing it. Dream big, but you gotta start with simple things first.

| Your thread should've been: "How to make a block appear?" Instead of writing the whole idea behind it. And anyways you can't achieve it since you're too ignorant to learn. |
