| You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. |

| There are no heroes, as all men are created evil and are evil until they die. |

There are varying definitions of heroism and evilness. In my mind, a hero is one who creates value under his own merit, without subduing the liberties of somebody else in doing so. A hero is a prime mover, one who provides value to society without leeching from others, and who has unfailing integrity for his personal beliefs. Evilness, conversely, can be found in people who believe in the masses over the individual, faith over reason, and justify force against others that inhibits peoples' liberties.
This is just my own interpretation, as this is a subjective question. But I think I'm just going to end my post here since it's pretty obvious that you guys are just trying to be edgy. Every man is born evil and dies evil? I'd say that, if anything, society could be in many respects considered evil, which often corrupts the spirit of the individual, but there's a certain nobility of a few men, heroes, that is neither attained nor lost, and is anything but evil. |

"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
This quote is predicating that people will become villains if they're given enough time. What about people who die at the ripe old age of 80, or even 90, and still die heroes? If they managed to squeeze out a few more years from their lifespan, would these elderly people have become villains? They died heroes, yes, but the quote is saying that, given enough time for a person to age, he or she will become a villain, and that's simply not true. |

Point taken, however, if your interpretation of a hero is someone who has good intentions, then this quote does hold true. Eventually even if the person continues to have good intentions they can go about achieving those intentions in the wrong way.
A good example of this would be Raiden from MK. He protects the Earthrealm but in one of his ending stories he goes about protecting it by eliminating all future potential enemies of Earthrealm, even if they haven't done anything yet. |
