Name: James Greene Gender: M Age: 29 Appearance: Caucasian, 6'1", Athletic Build. Straw-Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes. Sharp jaw and chin, and similarly sharp nose, otherwise soft features and thin lips. Hair sweeps forward then cowlicks. Chin and upper lip feature scruff, which is lightly colored so as to appear to be not much more than fuzz. Current Occupation: Engineer Biography: Timid and introverted, James prefered the company of machines to people. He grew up fascinated by the complexity of clockwork, and as he grew, he began to discover the complexity beneath the skin of Vastille. Miles of machinery, ticking away like the beating heart and lifeblood of the city. He diligently studied his trade, learning every detail of the technologies of the New-Age, and quickly found work maintaining the vast infrastructure of his home city. In his free time, he tinkers with idle machinations in his apartment. Other: N/A
You awaken in your apartment, a rather decent-sized one. You have your kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, though you've not done much in the way of interior decorating here. In fact, the only piece of furniture you have that didn't come with the house is a workbench where you messed around with mechanical items and doo-hickeys. Looking at your clock, your shift at the steam powerplant starts in about an hour and a half. Until then, you're free to do as you like. Take a shower, read the newspaper that is slipped under your door every morning, take a walk around the city, whatever you like. Or, you could be a lazy man and go back to bed. |

| You pull the blankets back over you, promising yourself that you'll only be asleep for ten more minutes. You wake up after a short, dreamless nap. Looking back at your clock, you slept for a bit longer than you intended, and need to be at work in an hour. |

| Rolling out of bed, still a bit drowsy, you walk to your bathroom and switch on the shower, getting yourself cleaned and dressed. By the time you walk out with fresh clothes on, you feel a bit more awake, though you could use a nice cup of tea or a coffee. As you recall, there's a cafe a short walk from your apartment. But, you think that just starting your workday at the powerplant will be enough to wake you up if you choose to forego a warm drink. |

(Hey just remembered something. I think it was one of yours, but there was this ISRP months and months ago, where the player was a prisoner, and while being transported, the ship went down on a hostile planet? I think I found a dude in a crate in the cargo bay. Rinign any bells, im pretty sure it was one of yours?)
Forego a warm drink? Heh, what a thought. I should probably get dressed first though. Lets see whats in my closet... |

(I think I remember and ISRP like that, but I feel like I was a player character in it. Probably something we both joined and someone else managed it.)
Opening up your closet, you find an array of clothes, though you'd hesitate to say it's a wide variety. Mostly, it's clothes meant for working in, rather than clothes to make you look good. You have a white, long-sleeved shirt that goes with your black waistcoat and black-and-brown pinstripe pants. That's just about your only 'fashionable' bit of clothing. Your more practical attire consists several short-sleeved shirts in varying shades of grey with workpants that go with each shirt.
Along with that are several different dark-shaded boots. You also own two different long coats, both black. One is made of a material that better protects from rain, and the other is made of a more fur-like material for when those days where it's cold out. There's also two pairs of gloves in your closet, and a tophat. You rarely wear that tophat though. |

| Opening up the single window of your apartment, the smell of steam flows into your nostrils. There's a slight drizzle outside right now. |

Hm. Doesn't really warrant a coat right now, but it might pick up. Ill wear the raincoat just in case.
I throw on a set of work clothes and a pair of boots, as well as the raincoat. |

(On occasion, I may include a photo in a post. This photo will always be in the form of an im[continued name at the end of post]. Sorry for the late post, I was working on the picture included in this post.)
You get dressed, and upon putting on your coat, you find your wallet inside the pocket. The contents of your wallet include 40 Suzus*, your identification for everyday use, your separate work ID, and nothing else. Your wallet does look fairly bland. Perhaps you could later decorate with some nice pictures, if you were so inclined. Nevertheless, you are dressed now, and have practically everything you'll need for the day. You have fifty minutes before you need to be at work.
*Hitchhiker's Guide to Dissonance: A Suzu (pronounced Soo-Zoo) is the universal, paper-based currency used by all civilised nations on the planet Erondor. In fact, when a nation first arises, one of the first things they do is get permission to print out Suzus. They get this permission from one person, who is the sole inventor of the Suzu. How the Suzus came into circulation by every country known to man is not certain. However, the Suzu's popularity is typically attributed by economists to the fact that each Suzu features a picture of a very pretty girl on the front. Picture of Suzu: /ZXsCHpb [gur] |

:(
The public-use umbrellas are at the front door of the apartment building. You pick one up on the way out and start the walk to the cafe.
You soon arrive at a brown building, with several pipes running along the side of the building which all are letting out steam. A sign is at the front of the cafe, reading 'Gear-Grinder Coffee and Teahouse.' There are a few horses and carriages hitched at the side of the building, and a decent amount of people going in and out of said building. |

As you step onto the wooden floor of the dry building, a jukebox fills your ears with music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4a5VasbHN0
Along with the music, the cafe is filled with the sound of people chatting and going about their day. Lanterns hang from the ceiling, illuminating what would otherwise be a dark building. Several tables are set out around the cafe. Just up ahead are workers behind a wooden counter. Quite a few workers are behind the counter, and you take note of a large amount of machinery, comprised of gauges, bronze pipes, valves, gears, and glass containers with coffee beans. Pinned to the front of the wooden counters are two menus, with the entries written in chalk. There's a cute-looking young girl waiting to take orders at the counter.
FOODSTUFFS: Breakfast Delight (Hash Browns, Eggs, Bacon, and Toast) - 8 suzus Creme-Filled Nut of Dough - 3 suzus Freshly-Baked Large Cookie (Chocolate chip, coconut, plain, or raisin) - 1 suzu Grilled Grilled Cheese Sandwich (A grilled sandwich containing grilled cheese) - 5 suzus Three Muffins (Blueberry, strawberry, or chocolate) - 3 suzus
DRINKS: Coffee (with or without milk) - 1 suzu Tea (with or without milk) - 1 suzu Fresh-Squeezed Juice (apple, orange, or grape) - 1 suzu Iced Coffee - 2 suzus Iced Tea - 2 suzus Caramel Cappuchino - 4 suzus White Chocolate with Vanilla Katte* - 9 suzus
*Hitchhiker's Guide to Dissonance: A Katte is a specially made type of coffee, usually with some nice flavouring. The word Katte comes from an ancient, no longer spoken language. The word roughly translates to 'you just spent too much money on that coffee.' |

You step into the line and, after about half a minute, you're at the counter. "Hi, welcome to Gear-Grinder Coffee and Teahouse, what can I get you?" the girl at the counter asks. |

| There's an empty table over in the corner of the cafe. Of course, you could sit at one of the larger tables that have several people already there. Maybe you could even make some friends. |

| You head into the darkness of the solitary seat and sit down. Soon enough, a plate of warm breakfast is set down in front of you, along with an even warmer cup of tea on a saucer. On the saucer is a few packets of sugar and a small spoon. |
