British Training Information
Starting a Training When you begin a training, all the LRs are to be lined up, and all of the officers are to be lined up sensibly on a different line. Both lines are to be uniform checked, and your training is to consist of ONE overseer, and one co-host, who will just take over if you have to go, or who will do anything training-wise you need them to do.
Once the line is set up, you are to uniform check every person who is in a line, this includes the Officer line at the side. If somebodys uniform is incorrect, you are to give that single person 5 jumping jacks for every single thing they have done wrong. For example, no tricorne and no sword sheathed would be an amount of 10 jumping jacks given.
What to Teach Once the training has begun, and everybody is in correct uniform, you are going to need things to teach and train. The first thing you start off with is faces.
Faces: Right Face - 90 degree turn to the right. Left Face - 90 degree turn to the left. Right Incline - 45 degree turn to the right. Left Incline - 45 degree turn to the left. About face - 180 degree turn to the right.
NOTICE: ABOUT TURN IS TO BE DONE SO EVERYBODY TURNS TO THEIR RIGHT IN ORDER TO KEEP THE LINE AND THE TRAINING LOOK MORE ORGANISED, AND FOR THE DISCIPLINE AND FOCUS LEVELS TO RISE FROM LOWER RANKS.
Before each command for the faces, the order is to begin with a warning, to notify who you are ordering.
Ordering a single person in the line - “Detail, About Face!” Colonel and below address a line - “Squad, About Face!” Brigadier-General address a line - “Company, About Face!” Field Marshal+ address a line - “Platoon, About Face!”
NOTICE: IF SOMEBODY DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DO FACES, TEACH THEM, NOT JUST WATCH THEM FALL BEHIND LIKE I HAVE BEEN SEEING OFFICERS AND EVEN COLONELS DOING QUITE RECENTLY.
Once you have finished Faces, you are to move onto firing drills. You are to teach all of the following firing drills:
-Blanket Fire -Ripple Fire -Volley Fire
BLANKET FIRE: The Commander of the line is to order “Prepare Blanket Fire! (Number of sheets/until commanded to cease) whilst the line is at shoulder arms. He/She shall then go through the following process.
-Prepare Arms -Make Ready -Present -Fire
Once the fire has finished, the line is to follow the bayonet rule to go automatically to shoulder arms, or wait to be ordered to reload.
RIPPLE FIRE- The Commander is to order “Prepare Ripple Fire!” whilst the line is at shoulder arms. He/She shall then go through the following process.
-Prepare Arms -Make Ready -Present -Fire
The line shall then follow the bayonet rule to know if they reload automatically or wait for command.
VOLLEY FIRE- The Commander of the line is to order “Prepare Volley Fire” whilst the line is at shoulder arms. He/She shall then go through the following process.
-Prepare Arms -Make Ready -Present -Fire
The line shall then follow the bayonet rule to know if they reload automatically or wait for the command. NOTICE: THE BAYONET RULE SHOULD BE TAUGHT CORRECTLY BEFORE FIRING DRILLS ARE STARTED. THE BAYONET RULE DOES NOT APPLY TO BLANKET FIRE
Once you have completed Firing Drills, you will go onto formations and basic drill. The following may be gone through. Those that are put in bold are essential to go through.
-Arrowhead Formation -Stagger Formation -Double Rank Formation -Charge Bayonets -Charging Arms -Port Arms -Shoulder Arms -Standing Arms -Slope Arms -Blanket Shield -Fire and Advance
Ending A Training At the end of the training, you are to take the line on a 2 minute march to wherever of your choosing, and you may come back to the original line, you will get them in a line, say how well the performances were, and decide your promotions.
You are permitted to have a maximum of 5 promotions. If the line consists of 20 or more then you may move it to 10. Once you have completed the promotions and have asked if anyone has any questions, and answered them, you may dismiss the line.
DISMISSING A LINE- To dismiss a line you may call “Fall out! ” or “Dismissed”. To end the training officially, everyone in the line must count one second, do a right incline, count another second and walk forward for 3 seconds, then the training has ended and everybody may go.
NOTICE - ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ABOVE SHOULD HAPPEN AT EVERY SINGLE TRAINING!
